I've been a tech for 30 yrs and have worked off those lifts for yrs, seen a few cars fall off of'em before too. You nailed it on this build hell I thought I was at work for a min haha. Oh and 1 more thing I worked with "Russ" before, you'd better double ck the wheels wont fall off after he's done
You get such professional results, I love those little dioramas, I'm definitely going to give spray cans a try. You are an awesome modeler, I love utility vehicles like tractors, tow trucks and the like, anything dirty that you can weather to within an inch of the end of it's usefulness life. Dirty and rusty vehicles rule!!! You are such an inspirational guy, thank you.
The Sears Auto dept. I worked in had floor drains under the racks, they went to a big holding tank outside the shop under the parking lot. It was emptied by Safety Kleen when it filled up.
My displays dont have enough room for this but I most certainly am thinking about making a full diorama with all these "shop" kits thrown together. Thank you!
wow- no words- these kits are so neat! Thanks for highlighting them, and the fantastic buildup! Round 2 is just awesome re releasing a lot of the older kits we miss, or never got a chance to build the first time around- I've never been much into cars- but these kits sure do sway me to try a few! Keep up the fantastic work!
I have been looking forward to seeing this one! I think I may score this deal for a "rainy day" builder as you say. Always enjoy your build/reviews to help us all know what to expect from these kits.
Always enjoy your builds, thanks for being a great resource for the latest and greatest model kits on the market as well as painting and assembly tips. Looking forward to your next build!
i really like how you can take a simple kit like this, give it the hpiguys treatment, and end up with an asounding build. kudos sir, kudos to you. always looking forwardn to your builds
Just looks great. I want it. Now I gotta go to the model store. Gonna add on to my service station . I have the other 2 kits in this series. I hope they do more.
Really cool kit. I actually built one of these. Well the real thing!! At a salvage yard I worked at years ago. I would have much rather built this kit! Lol!!
hpiguys Workshop totally. I needed the garage to go with the 5 other kits I have coming as well. I’m an rc guy usually but these kits are so much more cost effective and nearly as much fun. I enjoy the build process more than us using the models, even on my rc models.
I've been looking for this, thanks! Really cool job. I could see it with 1 or 2 more lifts, a small stack of tires and compressor with tool boxes, old coke machine and the friendly old shop mutt greeting customers. Very nice! :-)
Looks fantastic as usual Chris. Great kit! I think I need one. The only thing I believe I would change is the air hose...it looks a little bit out of scale. Other than that it is way cool. Thanks for sharing...
so - am I correct that we can use Rustoleum regular paint, not just 2X over primed plastic with no warping? If so Rustoleum and krylon have a large pallet for us, plenty to use and we can watch you give us some many more creative idea. And carry on!
I'm certainly going to have to track down one of these! Though, my boss would have chewed my a$$ if my bay had old coolant & oil puddles in it when I was working as an auto tech! LOL
Awesome Sir as always, one question I had was about your painting booth is that something your did yourself or did you purchase it? Don't know if you ever did a review on that would be great to see. Thanks Chris for the eye candy.
This is an awesome kit and I won't be surprised to see it go pretty fast. As always mr. Chris, awesome build on your side. I do think that Ross' working clothes look like some pajama tho. lol That said, do you think that there's some risks for that hose to dry as time go by?
It's short for cyanoacrylate which is just the proper name for super glue or Krazy Glue. All the same stuff. I called it CA back when I got my start building RC airplanes as that is what all the hobby shops called it and it stuck.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, NEVER STOP MAKING YOUR VIDEOS I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THEM.😘
I have no plans to stop George! Thanks!

Thanks a lot Warren!
Haha, I have a friend named Russ and he's the sweetest guy, but he tends to do more harm than good with tools and cars.
Of everything in the kit I'm most impressed by the floor drain haaa ha, seriously I love your videos keep them coming I AM a fan
I love the music. I enjoy watching you build. Have a nice day!
Thanks, you too!

Thanks Chris . I enjoy your videos when I sip my morning coffee.
Glad you like it!
Awesome kit and build. I think the EPA would frown on a floor drain though.
The Sears Auto dept. I worked in had floor drains under the racks, they went to a big holding tank outside the shop under the parking lot. It was emptied by Safety Kleen when it filled up.
the touches of realism are spectacular.... master class
Thanks Hammy!
Enjoy these dioramas when you do them. I watched the earlier ones, and am looking forward to the next ones. Thanks for a great build.
Thank you!
Definitely on my list now Chris, unbelievable work and weathering as always mate. Love it 😊
My displays dont have enough room for this but I most certainly am thinking about making a full diorama with all these "shop" kits thrown together. Thank you!
Thanks Michael!
I got one for $35 ish at this one sale. It’s electric and it has no problems lifting heavy die-cast cars let alone plastic ones so it’s perfect
Another EXCELLENT JOB, Chris.
Thanks Dennis!
Outstanding build and presentation as always Chris! Your weathering and ware tips are very helpful!! Well done Chris!!!
Thank you Ron!
I’m a new subscriber, I have been enjoying your videos a lot, I have been going through all your videos and watching them! Thumbs up! 😁👍🏻

Really cool kit. I actually built one of these. Well the real thing!! At a salvage yard I worked at years ago. I would have much rather built this kit! Lol!!
Awesome job as usual! Gives me a awesome thought for a diorama!

Nice! Super cool Chris, thanks for the review buddy!! 👍
Thanks Whitey!
i am such a huge fan of your review builds ,,keep'em coming ..thanks
Thank you, many more coming!
Neat kit. But for $30 I could 3d print a couple hundred of them. I appreciate Round 2 bringing stuff out, don't get me wrong.
now you just have to make some walls for a shop and add the other 2 kit part for a complete garage look, cool kit
I hear a complete garage kit is being reissued by a company soon, hope to get it!
I've been looking for this, thanks! Really cool job. I could see it with 1 or 2 more lifts, a small stack of tires and compressor with tool boxes, old coke machine and the friendly old shop mutt greeting customers. Very nice! :-)
There you go, good idea!

Primed, yes, I've used any style of Rustoleum and Krylon over primed plastic numerous times.
Nice job man

That would be cool!

I'm certainly going to have to track down one of these! Though, my boss would have chewed my a$$ if my bay had old coolant & oil puddles in it when I was working as an auto tech! LOL

Awesome videos! Love your channel! Could you refer me to where I could purchase one of the turntables you display your models on. Thanks!
Hey there, which ones are you referring to?
The electric one is from Trumpeter.
The painting stands are by Tamiya.
@@hpiguy The Trumpeter one that spins for completed models. I found it online thanks!

I do think that Ross' working clothes look like some pajama tho. lol
That said, do you think that there's some risks for that hose to dry as time go by?
Thanks! He's got on a standard coverall style outfit.

Love it.

Hey Chris I, have a question for you, what is CA glue???
It's short for cyanoacrylate which is just the proper name for super glue or Krazy Glue. All the same stuff.
I called it CA back when I got my start building RC airplanes as that is what all the hobby shops called it and it stuck.
👍👍👍
Thanks!
