I love your tutorials. You break it down and explain things in a clear and understandable way. I embroider towels, but want to make myself a sweatshirt with a design I'm putting together. I always have problems with stretchy fabrics. Hopefully this will help me get a nice pucker free result.
Embroidering on sweatpants is exactly the same as embroidering on a sweatshirt, it’s the same fabric so you do it just like I did it in this video. You are however limited to the areas you can embroider on but the actual embroidery method is the same.

You are doing the right thing by educating yourself on the equipment before you purchase it. Try to think of a few ways you can use your machine to make back your investment. Maybe even get someone who has the machine to make something for you to have as a sample to show people before you get the machine to see if they are potential customers. You are going to be fine. Stay focused learn the tech and be consistent.
Does the tension number depend on how the design was digitized? I use 4.0 tension on sweatshirts but I watch your videos and you usually use 1.8 so i wasn’t sure if i should switch over my tension

@ricogonzales2989 try placement circle stich (single) then pit it down in place hold it with a tweezer if it doesnt have an adhesive backing then two or three tripple stitches in three spots to hold it in place top then stop (adjust) left side then stop (adjust) right side then tack down stitch. On each stop you are making sure its in place.

I’ve never used procreate but the answer is definitely no. Images have to be digitized before and embroidery machine can embroider them. Procreate/ photoshop, in design and other image creation and manipulation products produce images. Images have no stitch or thread information in the files. Most if not all embroidery software can export the proper file format for all the different brand machines. For these single needle brothers machines you need a .pes format.

Hi!! Thanks for the vids! I received a Brother SE600 for Christmas and I've been watching your videos to get familiar with it. Can the SE600 embroider onto a sweater as well? It's just a smaller area (4x4) correct?
I wish I could answer that question but I can’t. It really depends on how it was digitized. The settings I use are for files that I digitize. If a digitized added more pull compensation to the file while digitizing i would change the machine settings. All files are not the same and all digitizers digitize differently. The only way to really find out what works best for the file you are working on is to just embroider it.

The se625 can do the same thing i did in this video. It just has the smaller hoop up to 4x4 inches is all your gonna get. I love my se600 though. You can’t go wrong with the se625 it’s the slightly big brother of the se600. Really the same machine.
I went to purchase a pe800 recently and it did double in price from third party sellers, it should be $700-800. I was seeing them on Amazon and Ebay for over $1300.

A protection plan never hurts but ai didn’t get it and I wouldn’t get it but it doesn’t hurt to have peace of mind. I wouldn’t get it though. That just me. Thank you for using my link also. I appreciate that. But I’d keep the extra in my pocket. It should have a manufacturer warrantee. I’ve never had anything break on my se600 and I’ve had that for over two years. I’ve even half way taken it apart to oil it when it started to squeak which they don’t suggest you do but now that I did it it runs like new again. Idk. I wouldn’t get the warrantee but you honestly can’t go wrong with a warrantee just incase you drop it or spill a bowl of cereal i guess. Things happen. Lol

@@BlueSunFlo there is no definite answer on a small or big machine. Commercial or consumer each design like you stated has different stitch information. In the software we can add density creating more stitches and remove density for the same exact design. There is no real accurate answer. If i had to though I’d tell you if you embroider for an hour straight you’d probably go threw 2-3 maybe 4 bobbins.

The ikonix KS810 it the best for sewing patches on hats ect. You can do it with the embroidery machines also.

Yes and if you are ever unsure. Just test it out.

You can use what ever program you’d like along as it exports the file type for your machine.

My se630 was a lil over $450 at Walmart
Can the pe800 do more complex designs?
Yes. As complex as you can design it can embroider. The complexity is up to you.

I lowered the tension because it looked like my stitches were to tight.

No. For a standard sweatshirt a needle change isn’t required. Maybe if the image had super small lettering but not for this image.
