Tesla should've made the steering yolk optional and regular steering wheel standard for the Model S due to its sportiness. We ordered the Model X which also comes with the steering yolk but I think this will be an issue with my wife very quickly especially when she is just driving it around locally and has to park it. When I saw the Yolk when they first announced the Plaid my first thought was "that is going to be absolutely terrible for daily driving, surely they wont require that". But alas, they most definitely require it.

I agree on some points but in the last one, Tesla is considered the best technology and the best electric car because it knows how to protect the battery and how to prepare it for races and it is a process that must be followed to ensure that the car does not break
4:44 i see that there is also sport (or standart) mode so why woud't someone who dosent want to drive in plaid mode use that insted. and specialy when chill mode dosent save that much range compared to standart/sport that it woud be any worth to use. i only see value for chill mode in gravell roads or slipery winter conditions.
Or possibly limiting the power for a friend you might not trust as much lol, i could see thought for someone with a medical condition where they cannot handle the plaid acceleration, but they still want to go fast, then sport mode could help maybe. Idk.
2:20 - You mean adaptive steering... Like most German cars already have for decades. Just harder to realize if the steering system is hydraulic and not elec... oh, wait...
I think there will be loads and loads of after market wheels and accessories for this car so no big deal if someone does not like the yoke as for the rest I actually like it that it is a sleeper and also has less button inside for weight savings. I prefer having everything on the screen for weight saving rather than having controls and buttons everywhere.
Why even use Chill mode? Just run in Plaid mode all the time. It's easy enough to drive slowly in Plaid mode. Just modulate your input on the accelerator pedal.
Nobody uses chill mode. It exists purely for the Tesla service center to piss you off when they give you a performance loaner and they lock it in chill mode with a passcode.

I agree on some points but in the last one, Tesla is considered the best technology and the best electric car because it knows how to protect the battery and how to prepare it for races and it is a process that must be followed to ensure that the car does not break
Lol, sounds too delicate.
Idk.
It's impossible to accelerate quick without to discharge battery faster
I have that color tesla blue it is model s plaid
It isn't faster then the chiron it's quicker but not faster

2:20 - You mean adaptive steering... Like most German cars already have for decades. Just harder to realize if the steering system is hydraulic and not elec... oh, wait...
Back to basic car review. I hate this guy but this is his best content when he reviews.
If you press all the buttons on the yoke at the same time the horn is activated
I think there will be loads and loads of after market wheels and accessories for this car so no big deal if someone does not like the yoke as for the rest I actually like it that it is a sleeper and also has less button inside for weight savings. I prefer having everything on the screen for weight saving rather than having controls and buttons everywhere.
#4 nobody uses chill mode, do they?
"No car is perfect"...
Definitely not said by Tesla owners
This Man is Intelligent 💯💯🙌🙌
I was only keeping my performance model s în Ludicrous all the time.
*LETS GOO AND GOD BLESS THEM!!*
*TESLA FOR THE WINS!!!*
🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Did anybody else notice that every Tesla plaid owner looks identical?
“ Cheetah mode takes 8 seconds to activate so unless you get there 30 seconds before..” wait what
I HATE THE YOKE. Prediction - it's gonna cause accidents, then a recall.
I wish tesla would put rear wheel steering on the Model S
cool review. Why you yelling tho bro? lol
I agree with every point you made
Thank you godbless
Got teach him about pressing the GAS in an EV. :)
tbh the yoke feels like its incredibly slippery
Do you agree with Edmunds take on the Plaid?
No
I thought tesla is perfect but after I met with vehicle virgin, I found requirements.
Great video right on Parker
Faster than a bugatti chiron
Why even use Chill mode? Just run in Plaid mode all the time. It's easy enough to drive slowly in Plaid mode. Just modulate your input on the accelerator pedal.
Nobody uses chill mode. It exists purely for the Tesla service center to piss you off when they give you a performance loaner and they lock it in chill mode with a passcode.
@@iPhoneAppReviewer Well, Parker claims the Model S has horrible range when driving in Plaid mode vs Chill Mode.
However, others have said there's no difference in range between the two modes. I don't have one so I don't know.
But it appears that you get nowhere near the claimed 396 mile range. Parker says it's closer to 150 miles, which is straight ass if I'm being frank.
Your videos are very nice
The fastest production car in the world is and remains the buggati chiron with about 300mph
You have to remember that we are talking about acceleration, not velocity. You don't "feel" much when you are cruising at 500 mph in a jet airliner, but you do feel acceleration (like a roller coaster). I will admit, though, that "fastest" wasn't the best word choice. He should have said "quickest."
@@WillFaustCuber also at 200mph+ concentration is ultimate because in case of problems itu might end up very badly. Vw has the most sophisticated/longest/largest car company test track in the world.
People interchange "fastest" versus "quickest" all the time without thinking about it. Same issue when some NHRA person says top fuel is the fastest. Its NOT. Its the quickest. NOT the fastest.
love the car but yeah, that steering wheel is a total fail
The Tesla wheel would drive me crazy. 👎
Nice review 👍
