I am listening to this for the first time. Acoustic "Big Railroad Blues" is just awesome. I love that song...first time to hear it acoustically, and it just shows me how good these guys were...David Nelson!!! Awesome
My pal Don and I lucked into seats in Row 2 that magic night, the last of a 4-day run. The boys were terrific but the shadow of Jimi Hendrix's death two days earlier was sobering. The band was still playing Truckin' as an acoustic song.
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS BIG RAILROAD BLUES ONLINE FOR OVER 10YEARS. I HAD A BOOTLEG CASSETTE THAT WAS MARKED 5/15/70 FILLMORE EAST. IN '97 I GOT IT. IT BROKE. I SPLICED IT BUT LOST IT EVENTUALLY. 23 YEARS SINCE I HEARD IT

Thx MrFathead. I was thinking this was the show where it was suspected to be Jerry on piano. I heard there is photo evidence of the piano being present, but none of Jerry playing it during TLMD. Maybe someone who was there can corroborate. 🤔
Forever Fillmore East or West ........magic....................happens Graham Parsons images rising up before Casey beautiful Stone Jackhammer .....gotta gotta..................Thanks Okie
This has been a favorite of mine for ever. I just love the acoustic set 😍Thanks for posting this 😎 Any chance you can post the lineage info? It’s always nice to have 🙃

Great show, with the exception of "Caution", that's just plain nauseating to listen to.

I think this is my favorite Not Fade Away. Also great is the night before and the '71 one on their live album.
1970 is the best year for NFA, hands down. 9-10-74 has a great version though.
I will take a Double Dose in any case...and I do appreciate it.
Acoustic Railroad Blues best ever.....THOSE MANDOLINS...
Best Sugarmag IMHO.
