As others will no doubt tell you, she is 15 here (though approaching 16 I believe) and I am also told that the talent show ("You're Super") like most talent shows do not allow effects that distort the voice. She learns the words for the various languages she has sung in and does not know English. If you check out her background you'll be even more impressed with this young lady (and moved) - make sure you have a tissue :)

It's a Russian folksong about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her deceased mother's blessing for her marriage. Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan, abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. She started singing lessons to try to help with her speech which was stunted from neglect. She said that for all songs in foreign language she read the translation (of course) and listen to the sound of the words and then she sing them. For this music, she said she couldn’t connect/live the meaning of it (as she is a young girl) and so she “resignified” the story as Mother Earth and people (please someone correct if this is not accurate). React to “Rechenka” it will blow your mind! I suggest to use this same show for those first songs, even if it requires some pauses or effects to not be blocked. The sound quality is very good. Hi, Ann! The music for this cover was written by a very capable Alexander Stepin, he has wonderful arrangements for Human, Take on Me, Havana! With this song, Diana became famous on the American mainland, too, and entered the top of many audience votes as the best performer of 2020. Ironically, Diana didn't like the song at first, she didn't want to sing it. The producers and teachers persuaded me. But if Diana does something, the result is always brilliant!
One of those parts was a backing vocal introduced by the producer (not by her). I'm not sure which part though...The rest was all Diana. She's quite capable of doing that part herself as she's also a master yodeller, but that's what the producer wanted for the song apparently. Definitely my favorite singer with that goosebump-inducing timbre!

I would recommend Fastidious Horses. It was written by a famous Russian singer, actor philosopher. She was told that she was too immature to sing this difficult song, but she nailed it. She and the audience were crying by the end.

Great first reaction. You summed her up well. She is the complete package! As others will no doubt tell you, she is 15 here (though approaching 16 I believe) and I am also told that the talent show ("You're Super") like most talent shows do not allow effects that distort the voice. She learns the words for the various languages she has sung in and does not know English. If you check out her background you'll be even more impressed with this young lady (and moved) - make sure you have a tissue :)

It's a Russian folksong about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her deceased mother's blessing for her marriage.
Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan, abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. She started singing lessons to try to help with her speech which was stunted from neglect. Her talents were quickly recognized and the rest of history.

She said that for all songs in foreign language she read the translation (of course) and listen to the sound of the words and then she sing them. For this music, she said she couldn’t connect/live the meaning of it (as she is a young girl) and so she “resignified” the story as Mother Earth and people (please someone correct if this is not accurate).
React to “Rechenka” it will blow your mind! I suggest to use this same show for those first songs, even if it requires some pauses or effects to not be blocked. The sound quality is very good.

Hi, Ann! The music for this cover was written by a very capable Alexander Stepin, he has wonderful arrangements for Human, Take on Me, Havana! With this song, Diana became famous on the American mainland, too, and entered the top of many audience votes as the best performer of 2020. Ironically, Diana didn't like the song at first, she didn't want to sing it. The producers and teachers persuaded me. But if Diana does something, the result is always brilliant!

She's quite capable of doing that part herself as she's also a master yodeller, but that's what the producer wanted for the song apparently. Definitely my favorite singer with that goosebump-inducing timbre!

I would recommend Fastidious Horses. It was written by a famous Russian singer, actor philosopher. She was told that she was too immature to sing this difficult song, but she nailed it. She and the audience were crying by the end.
