Same! :D I first wanted a cape patron for my Halloween costume next year but nah, this looks way too awesome to use only one day per year. I'm gonna use a real nice yarn so I can can wear it the rest of the year! ❤
I explain in the video what you can do to add arm slits, make it bigger, and what you can use instead of the cape clasps. I don't have plans on making another with armholes.... this is extremely time consuming and I prefer capes without armholes, that's why I did mine this way... 😊
Hello Crystal. It's 2024 n October! Thought this month would never come! I made this cape n my youngest claimed it. With premier ever soft in dark cherry. I posted on your Facebook page. N in the process making another for my oldest w the same yarn in Mist. Gorgeous yarn. Thank you so much for your kindness n sharing your knowledge, skills n designs w us. I'm far better at crochet w you. Tons of love to you n yours. Hugs
I promised myself I wouldn’t get any more yarn after packing 6 totes full but I *need* to find just the right yarn to make this for myself for my birthday next month, even if it takes me more than a month to get it done. This is marvelously beautiful.
Thanks for showing the picture on your UA-cam page. I found it and I think I’m going to make three of them one for each of my daughters and myself. My granddaughters may want one and I’ll have to figure out how to adjust the size.
Hey Crystal, watched this again, sooooo easy yet looks complicated!! I think I’d like it in a deep red flex color!! Not brick red tho… or possibly the natural color with the flex in it. Not sure… I love that too! Could do one as a chaplet. But I definitely want one full length almost to the ground. I think I prefer big buttons. With loops. And a bigger, more floppy hood. Maybe use double thread fir the hood. Not sure… also change it up n do front post double crochet rows?? Give it character. Just ideas for my cloaks!! This is the best cloak, cape I’ve seen online as yet, as far as vejbg easy to do, yet looking so vintage! Great job!!
I love that yarn in it’s so pretty! Thank you so much for showing the very first and the very last stitch in each row. I am a relatively new crocheter and this is very helpful to me. I get confused about what is a stitch and what isn’t a stitch otherwise.
Brilliant, brilliant pattern! I learned a hell of a lot from this tutorial and I feel very inspired. You’re an amazing teacher! I can’t thank you enough for sharing your talent with us, Crystal. Thank you so, so much!
Oh Crystal! I’ve been looking for a long cape with a big hood forever that’s not too complicated!! This is perfect!!! Very easy!!!! And I’m tall, so I’ll just keep adding rows to it. But I can also make a caplet too!! So versatile!! Will make nice gifts too! Thank you so much for this tutorial!!
It is Beautiful, Crystal!!! And it looks wonderful on you! Brilliantly done. Great job! Thank you for sharing. It's so elegant and reminiscent of long ago days when ladies wore their femininity with respect and dignity. Thank you for bringing that treasure back. 👏👏❤🙏
Thank you for teaching thru tutorials. It helps me tremendously. I have always had difficulties reading directions and following patterns. I'm a visual learner and able to follow along. I can read all the symbols but just come to a wall reading directions. Its a learning disability since childhood. So i appreciate those who do these tutorials. I am able to enjoy crocheting along.
Crystal that is amazing ❤️ am going to have to make one for my daughter she is going to love it. And my question was going to be arm Holes and I didn't have to ask thanks again 😊
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern! I made my younger sister a small version of this that went down to her elbows for Halloween, she went as little red riding hood, and I'm working on one for myself right now! You're an amazing teacher and come across very kind in all your videos :D
OMG!!! I had my neighbor try on the almost finished product and it looks amazing!!! Someone, don't want to mention any names (me) put on a lot of weight and it doesn't drape on me as well as I'd like but my neighbor, gorgeous almost finished product. She as everyone else loves the yarn, beautiful and spot. Thank you so much for the pattern!!!
I love cloaks! This is fantastic. I like the way you worked a yoke in the design. I have decided that I will be making mine a double-layered cape - one that comes to my hips over the full-length cape. I can put armholes on the sides and not need to open the whole front to use my arms. Thank you so much for the insperation!
So thankful for this tutorial!! I'm really good at blankets and that's about it 😅 but I decided to try this and I am obsessed with it! I have now 4 of these going. All different sizes and colors. Thankyou so much
I really like this cape, I am totally blind with no vision and I was able to follow the instructions and make it perfectly, the only issue I had was I use bulky yarn, so I had to take it out a few times to get it right so instead of using 72 stitches I use 52 and it came out perfect thank you I really appreciate this 33:22
Seeing you model your cape made me instantly think of your little Evelyn all grown up ... brought tears to my eyes 👀... so cute .... love ❤️ you crystal....
I’ve been waiting for years to get a tutorial for a Cape and thank goodness it was you who finally fulfilled my wish! I can’t follow written patterns and have only found 1 other tutorial...I’m thrilled to death! Merry Christmas to me!! thank you! 💜🙏💜. It’s gorgeous, really beautiful!
Thank you for making this pattern so easy to follow. My husband asked if I could make a Cloak for a woman where he works. Without you I couldn't have done it. I'm mainly a blanket maker but this was a fun challenge for me. 🥰
My sister wants one to the ground...so excited...I'm also trying to make it smaller in pink for my daughter...she wants one too...I'm using the same count but a 4mm hook...I'm upto the 2nd row of fans and it seems to be ok...Will got her for a while...love you Crystal....dead set you are my saviour....you have taught me so much when my mum could only teach me a granny square....thankyou.
Thanks God I found your tutorial. My son has been asking me for a cloak like that one of one of his favorite characters. I got navy blue yarn. Thank you so much. Yours look beautiful. Much blessings.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING.............Crystal this is your E.....L....L....I....M....E.....N....T. ... designing beautiful wear like this I’m going too make my daughters and myself one of these. I love, I love it the color yarn you chose is perfect, Crystal you look so beautiful modeling this cape and your husband really enjoyed videotaping you.
WoW! How did I miss this one???? It's absolutely gorgeous!!! I will make this if I ever have enough money to buy yarn again. Things have been tough. Love You Much, Little Girl! XOXOXO You and your loved ones stay healthy and safe!
It turned out beautiful have to make me one after holidays I'm so busy doing everything else right now 12 grandkids ,5 kids and that's not counting the husband and wives have a great holiday be safe God bless
I have been going at it and it looks great; it's the yarn (and the tutorials guidance). I used to buy yarn when I first started out and thought that I could make anything with it; wrong. I learned the hard way that yarn & the needle size is what creates the way that something drapes, once you accept that you're good. Just wish that this yarn came in more colors:( I bought 9 skeins and the exact crochet hooked used by her. She really nailed the yarn, crochet needle size & pattern on this one to get the beautiful ensemble. This is really easy to make. I am going to maybe line the inside and add some "jewels" sporadically to the top ten rows but, we'll see after I am done. The beauty of this is that I have not done a lot of crocheting (I am a knitter) and it teaches you increases of rows, bobble stitch, dc back and front, cleaning up the edges, how to attach a hood so you could make one of these just to learn various techniques that you can later utilize to make things of your very own. Try it and don't give up:) I had to undo the first row three times because my vision is not so good and my eyes had trouble locating the next stitch but I didn't quit and then you see it all coming together, super exciting!!! Thank you so much for the tutorial!!! I really appreciate it. B.
Crystal- May I say that I really loved the Introduction to your video !- A little clip of you wearing and modelling the finished item, is way better than a tiny thumbnail or a little brief clip (even though I always pause the videos to the little shot of the item, before making it). Thank you, for showing this item ON & in a video clip - not just a quick picture !!! - It has been added to my "must make list" - Thank you !!!
Beautiful! I can’t believe I haven’t seen this one! Had I seen this tutorial before tonight, I would have definitely started making one for myself, I would have loved to have worn it this weekend to the Rhineback -sheep and wool festival in New York 🗽 I’m so excited , it’s my first fiber festival attended. Crystal, I know that you are a very determined young lady and you do not sale your crochet items but you are so talented, that I just cannot imagine why you would not sell some of them. There is no doubt that you take great pride in your creations as you should because they are amazing. Your work is perfection. I admire you so. I usually make hats, scarves, cowls, dish cloths, baby blankets and maybe a few bags, baskets ect. The majority of what I make go for gifts to family and friends but I will set up a booth at our local fall festival once a year to sell my items. I do pretty good because I keep my prices low. But honestly, I am not trying to be mean, I love your channel and I really am amazed by your talent. Please don't get mad at me for writing this, but you looked so pretty when your were modeling your cape and you had a beautiful smile on your face. I knew you were so proud of it. God bless.
Love it so much!!! Great tutorial too. I ordered the yarn & needle and making it ASAP. When I am done I am going to get the pattern on ETSY because having both the tutorial and pattern is great as you can just read what needs to be done for every row as opposed to rewinding the video. Thank you so much!!!!!
If the cape was red , you would be called "Little Red " gorgeous. I'm very busy now making other of your tutorials. But this will be on my to do list. Thanks Crystal.
Mr. BOD and Crystal what a beautiful intro to this even more gorgeous cape. Absolutely stunning. One again, you've outdone yourself! 🧡💛 Thank you, Crystal, for another gorgeous creation!
I love your videos...you make it easy to follow and the way you show which stitch is great..I sometimes get confused on the ends on that last stitch and which stitch to actually start with when turning..thank you Crystal..want to make this, just trying to decide which of my girls would love one..will make and probably have all my daughters wanting one..❤️❤️❤️
Love it! Just finished watching (including ads, always!) and taking notes. It's very easy!!! Looks complicated but it definitely isn't hard to make. Thank you so much Crystal!!
This is BEAUTIFUL.....I’m without words..........I need to MAKE THIS CAPE. ‼️‼️‼️‼️ thank you Crystal for this beautiful creation....MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS🎄🎄🎄‼️

That cape is absolutely gorgeous!! You know I'm seeing it in a velvet yarn! OMG!!!!
I am making it in a velvet yarn. It looks good. I used blue velvet.
Same here in a Deep Blue or Royal Blue Velvet yarn! Absolutely 💯% gorgeous!! Thank you for the video that I just found today! You are a great teacher!
Wow that came out beautiful
Imagine it in fine sparkly yarn for a fancy dinner. Gorgeous ❤️
I think dark colors will look really beautiful, like dark cherry red, or dark green, or brown and even black ❤
Ooooo, a dark green in the middle of Winter, especially at Christmas, would look even more magical than this pattern already is.
@@stephaniesmedes21 yesss!!
