I have the supco umbrella as well & it comes in handy rain or shine. Especially when the sun is beating down during the hot summers in South Carolina as you know Ted. Love seeing a new Ted Cook video 👍🔧

How often do you take a shock when touching the cap terminals?

Dielectric grease for electrical connections to prevent oxidation, electrolysis, and crustiness.
Never-seize/anti-seize on fan shafts and stuff to prevent rusting and corrosion so they are much easier to remove the next time.
One thing I saw that would make an electrician cringe is the lack of a grommet where the electrical wires passed through the metal housing.

My father uses a battery powered leaf blower while the top cage is off to get the leafs out and a ball of gaffers tape on some pvc for sticks. Seems to work well for him

Supco umbrellas great! I'm an installer and use mine all summer and whenever it snows or rains. Best part is all my tools stay dry.

I bought that umbrella last summer. I bought it for the units that are directly in the sun. It's a great piece gear to have.

Great videos👍🏽 Love that umbrella. Doesn’t catch everything cuz the size but definitely helps! Sometimes I’ve found the compressor was drawing close to RLA and found the cap was dead but still running. Or cap is bad, replace and it doesn’t change amps, And I’ve found them read ok and fluid was leaking, sometimes I’m just like 🤯🤷🏽‍♀️

I have one and it's ok if you are replacing a contactor or capacitor but if you take the top off you will not have a stable place to attach. It badly needs a ground pole attachment.

After a few videos watched on Anti DIY HVAC, I have brand new capacitors for the condensing unit and blower fan in the attic in stock and ready just in case. 33 years and both capacitors are still working on our Amana HVAC. Apparently, the industry made good capacitors the older they were made ! Many say these days you should expect a new one every 5 years. In any regard, we're ready for the most inconvenient time of the year that one fails.
5 units on that house is awesome...Initial cost is higher but its very cool to be able to use just one or two or all 5 alternating "as needed" vs. a couple of 5 ton energy hogs flipping on and off multiple times a day, if I'm correct on that. Last time I looked, the 5 ton vs. 4 ton used much more power. Much more than a 3 ton vs a 4 ton which told me to use a 3 ton with a 2 or 3 ton, not a 5 ton due to the operation cost.
This is a good video...its nice to come across a homeowner who wanted OEM parts. It's still Vietnam made but at least it fit like a glove as the original. 600 amps to power up that home? Oh my, 200 of that is likely for just the 5 A/C when they are all running at the same time ! Hope the electric rates are low, like 4 or 6 cents a kWh.

Could you do a video one day for consumers who want to get some idea of how often to call for service a/c inspection and some idea of what to expect to pay for parts and labor ? Most of us are just a fish on a chopping block waiting to fleeced. There are so many a/c companies with "specials" for seasonal maintenance. It is hard to tell the bad actors from the straight ones- thanks from a follower.
