Great question- for the most part, things usually financially get easier as long as you can stay financially disciplined (especially if you have a lot of student debt). Professionally, it can be challenging for the first 1-3 years after yesterday (you’re getting used to a new job, way more responsibility, and learning how the real world of medicine actually works).

Yes imgs get paid during residency. It's the same salary as other residents tho.
