I’m curious about those cams that you use on the lines going to the wheel. What type are those? Looks like a great idea.

Those are "Clam Cleats." They are good for tensioning the lines to the wheel hub and then slackening when not in use. I can't claim the innovation - they came with my Aries.

Can this version be rigged to work with tiller steering? I have this version of Aires Vane. You know the model by chance or any other information? Thank you in advance! ❤

Yes it works with a tiller. The same lines that turn the wheel drum in this video would instead be hooked up to pull the tiller (one for each side.)
