I have been using carp fishing anti-tangle sleeves for over 20 years now there perfect for using on flapper rigs and really good when fishing up and over running rigs to flick the hook trace from the main rig body.
Great tips again Jansen. I squeeze down the lip of the metal clip with pliers. It rarely gets tangled, just a little trickier to get rigs on/off but worth it.
Usually I’ll religiously use a new rig every time, but once in a while I’ll reuse a rig that has only been out for a couple of casts. If I’m guiding I’ll always give my clients new rigs though. All the best. Jansen
@@VealsMailOrder2898 hmmm ok cheers, I've been reusing rigs for 7+ sessions. Starting to appear as if everyone that is pulling in consistent results is ocd with their rigs. New rigs or hooks every session, cheers, that's a learning curve for me. Jon
Just to add to this, hang the rig before clipping it down, let the weight spin till it stops, rigs will often twist when they are relaxed. Have you ever seen what 15lb amnesia does when it's over stretched?......turns into a perm! 😆

Good tips 🎣🐟😎👍🏻
Hi Jansen, great vid, do you use a new rig on every trip or let it last a while? Do you use new hooks every session?

@@MrJoffG Definitely new hooks, they must be ultra sharp.
Another brilliant useful video, I'm a big fan of the bulk spool Asso Classic 100lb. Happy Days, cheers DaveO 🎣
