this should have been called "driving with siren on", not farm accident.

To those below who are spewing hate
.shut it. Do you do this on a daily basis? Probably not. Untill you have become a certified first responder or a firefighter you dont have the room to complain

One thing I noticed about the video is very few vehicles pulling over and stopping to allow an emergency vehicle to pass.

Actually in this video most of the vehicles showed some "respect" for the warning lights and siren. With the EVOC training I have taken I tend to watch for "some asshole doing something stupid" like the driver does (or is supposed to) while enroute. Like I commented this trip most at least pulled over but the ones on "our" side likely did not notice "us". I say that because the way they reacted. One question does this state or area require constant usage of the siren or "audible warning device" while on the way? Actually a good run with a POV.

Eight minutes of watching a guy drive to a service call. I guess the sirens were worth the waste of time.

AMR is American Medical Response, they are a private ambulance service that provides EMS in many areas of the U.S.

Sorry that it was not more entertaining for you. I have other priorities to deal with than to make sure you can see. Thanks for the info anyway.

@Todd Hoskins Brother, I have 30 plus in the volunteer service and I suspect you cannot quit either. I am now one of our Fire Police and still feel I contribute. Someone has to keep the scene safe and secure. Many places do not understand or have Fire Police but in my state we have the same authority as the State Police but we cannot carry weapons. Which sometimes is probably a good thing.

F.Y.I. The title is clickbait. It should read "driving to a farm accident.

@bozerabc123 ALS-Advanced Life Support, AMR-Advanced Medical Response? (not sure on that one), BLS-Basisc LIfe Support, EMS-Emergency Medical Services.
EMS is basically an ambulance as well as BLS, ALS just means it has a medic or more abilities than a basic unit does.

Sure, I watch your videos pretty regularly, you have the best quality response videos that I've seen out of all of them that I've watched so far. Keep up the good work! I want to post videos from the calls that I go to like you do but I don't have a video camera yet. I imanaged to post a video of the lights on my S10 Blazer because my Dad shot it for me. But that's all so far.

This is automatic launch of a helicopter in Colbert County, Al until medic crew says otherwise we are trained its better to have them in the air than have to wait an extra 15 to 20 mins for them to prep and launch

@chakie14 Not sure about this state but in Florida a patient MUST meet certain criteria in order to be classified a "trauma alert" which would justify a Medflight. Mechanism of injury, the injuries themselves, distance to the hospital, age, and so on.

I don't think it was severe enought to fly, not real sure. They were only like 10 minutes from the ER anyway.

I beg to differ. If you have ever driven a Code response, you know there is plenty of excitement and thrill present. To discover this, join your local volunteer fire service or ambulance squad. Some departments will accept you if you live in the neighboring district. It is a fact that volunteer department across the nation need volunteers.

At 1:36 you should've gone left around the car. If you pass on the right and then the car moves over and you hit, it would be your fault in most states. It also lets oncoming traffic see you better.

    • @g.r.4853
      @g.r.4853 5 років тому

Judgement call. Passing on the right in that instance is a hazard if someone needing to cross the lane is turning onto that street and suddenly there you are. Passing as he did and stopping (as required where I live) at the intersection was the better choice, I think.
