Logically stated and nicely done for those out there making one or more of these mistakes with out realizing fallow the rules here and you'll get hit less
It's amazing how many want to chi sau out of range and as soon as you kick they act surprised. I like your last example too, it's not all about hitting. You can control your opponent after you've softened them up.
noticed one mistake in your chi sau, need Stance, seems u stand tall and lean forward, bend knees, Tai gong, Back Straight - Chu Shong Tin ... Try put a pencil under one heel and stand tall, hold arms out straight infront, and have someone try push your arms down, see how much the imballance affects arms,.. sinking into stance and using tai gong stabilises this because then all motion moves from sacrum and removes this imballance try it out! :-)
Still a good video though I'm from the Chu Sheung Tin line ,what I see here is Wing Chun worthy anyways ..Tai-gung alignment of the skeletal structure relaxation through the whole limbs ..
Nice video man. Really mistakes that many people do when they're doing the Chi Sao,but i have a question.. Why don't you walk, knowing that just in the first level we do not walk because we must build our base?? I really enjoy what you said and i appreciate your position.

I like the video. It’s actually all the wrong things that people do that our principles of chi Sau are based around. Good job.

Great clip Dave, these are things I tell my guys not to do also! I'm also a Chu Sau Lei practioner under Alan Orr Sifu. Best wishes brother
bougeac yes its true. Chi Sao is tricky and takes time to develop but once you get good it comes out in all our training.
