Hi i am installing eve-ng iso file on VMware Fusion on my Macbook pro. can u share a video on that ? i always get stuck into ubuntu username and password prompt after reboot. i dont see eve-ng IP address on the CLI after reboot. ANd whats the difference between bare install Virtual machine install , in terms of EVE-NG installation options ?

Hello sir Yes I put three images in the directory indicate in the video and when I click on the switch or the router right button it becomes blue and after I double click and it gives me a window where I can choose the (Putty, telnet or SecurCRT) but when I wait after three seconode it gives me the putty black window and it gives me the message (fatal error). But what I can not understand is when I do telnet from putty to CLI EVE it works fine, you see? Please give me your e-mail so that I can send you the screenshots

i have a confusion why he didn't use 192.168.255.1 which is the default gateway as we have configured our adapter as NAT, why he used 192.168.255.2
192.168.255.1 is used by the host adapter for communication ! host and guest communicaton...

Can I use another hypervisor like KVM / QEMU to install a virtual machine with EVE-ng ISO?
You can try but it is out of EVE support
It gets stuck at the Ubuntu updates, using Ubuntu 22... it doesn't matter if you try to stop it, reboot it, whatever, it simply won't work. Dammit.

When would you recommend using the ISO vs OVA for community edition? On a VM, not on bare metal.
Personally I prefer ISO, because you can set HDD size during install what you want. Even installing VM

you simply did not complete EVE installation. After ubuntu is installed, after rebppt, the second part of install starts.
EVE-NG - Emulated Virtual Environment after second part is done, it is not prompting the interface to confirgure static IP address. Please suggest
