Just wanted to say thanks, I used this video for reference in making my first holster and it worked out wonderfully. I'm not a nerf gun enthusiast, just a cosplayer who needed a holster. Also based on this model I'm fairly certain I can make a sword scabbard for my other cosplays. So I can't thank you enough for making this video. Valiant
I love you. HvZ started an hour and a half ago and I had no idea how I was going to carry my barricades while using my stampede primary. Thanks so much!
This is an excellent idea. And I can see this easily used as a shape for anyone who would want to make a holster out of cloth or leather as well. thanks for an awesome tutorial
I have actually had people pay me to make holsters out of cardboard for them. I always like seeing how others do it differently. In my more sophisticated builds, I have used velcro and cloth strips for certain builds, especially with back holsters.
From one HvZer to another, I say well done all the sharing of all your knowledge to the masses. My next round of humans versus Zombies begins Thursday, and thanks to you I can alternate between 3 guns for my dualwielding
Great vid, in the future we realize non corrugated cardboard like the stuff the nerf blasters come in combined with a couple layers of duct tape is way stronger and smoother but this video is the pioneer. Kudos.
This is basically exactly the information I'm looking for, and exactly the way I'd like to do it. (working on a Deadpool costume!) xD Thank you! Though a lot of the activity was cut off by the angle of the camera- just a tip!
+Dylan lim Not really. That's like it being ironic that you buy a car today, when you have to buy another car in fifteen years. you use what you have, until better options show themselves.
Great job Drac, my Maverick now has a home for every Nerf war I'm in. Instead of strapping mine to my leg I made a belt loop with cardboard, hot glue, and duct tape. Now I put my belt through half the loops so it is lower on the blaster's side and therefore easier to withdraw. I highly recommend this and suggest a ll who read this to do the same
I'm making a long lasting holster for each of my pistols out of hardened paper. Here is how to make them; 1: Choose a blaster 2: Get Heaps of A4 paper and PVA Glue 3: figure out how long you want your holster(s) and fold at least 4 Sheets of A4 paper to that size 4: Put a generous amount of glue on the paper and spread evenly with your finger (Just enough glue so it isnt soggy) 5: Repeat for all of the paper that you're using and put under something heavy (I used the rest of the paper) 6: When the paper is almost dry, mould around the blaster(s but its better to do it one at a time) 7: make smaller strips for loops and then yeah.... 8: Thank me later xD
@Bednesti38 It works well for the Maverick, the Nite Finder, the Reflex, the Spectre and the Barricade and any other pistol. As for bigger guns, you can remove the barrel extender and the stock from a Recon CS-6 so and limit it to the core blaster itself, with the sights removed or fliped down, making it work like a big pistol, not much bigger than the Maverick, thus fitting the holster, whitle the barrel and the stock could be taken on big pouches on your vest.
@pandaninja1234 Your idea is great even for real handguns! A holster that rests against your thigh at low position via hanging from a belt loop is used even for serious gun training. That drawing technique looks just like your proposal: similar this video, but with the gun starting from a lower position! It only differs that, while drawing, keep your index finger out of the trigger guard, extended as if pointing in the same direction of the barrel, to avoid accidental discharges.
@XxPivotPwnsYOU9 - Because it's between two factions: One being the humans, and the other being the Zombies. I'd suggest looking it up on google (or any other search engine) to get it explained better.
Suggestion:get a little belt clip that you'ld find on measuring tape or something rip it off and glue it to the holster thuimbs up so people can see if it works for you
I did this for my recon, but forgot to take the clip into account, so I had to cut a hole in my holster. How can I make a one-way door, that keeps the gun from falling through the hole, but allows me to quickdraw the gun?
Here's a question: In addition to being a HVZ enthusiast I'm also a traceur. I do a lot of running, jumping and rolling. How well would this little DIY holster hold up to a lot of high impact maneuvering? I'm worried it will fall apart while I'm at fill sprint or something.
something i did thats similar is i got realy big pieces of cardboard and cut out a sheild shape and made it a couple layers thick to with stand melee i know nerf makes sheilds but theirs are small but this way u can make it big enough to sheild as much as your body u want from darts with out any trouble i also cut a hole for blaster barrels so u becum a jugernaut basicaly
I only saw the first 1:00, so I made a barely usable one with only used cardboard and a crap-load of clear duct tape. At least it can fit my maverick, proton, vigilon, and barricade.Wish I´d actually seen the whole video.
I am planning on making a holster for the Longshot front blaster which is a lot bigger than a Spectre would a cardboard holster work? Stupid question i'll probably have figured out tomorrow but i have to ask anyway.
It's good, but I think it could be better. I don't understand why you didn't make it all (including the bottom) out of a single piece of card rather than having to cut and attach a bottom section. Seems like a waste of card for one thing and I'm guessing that the tape at the bottom was there to hold the bottom on. You'd probably have used less tape as well as saved card for another use. Also why not add some dart loops on the outside?
If you didn't use so much cardboard and maybe i don't know... not use corregated cardboard it would be lighted and hotglue would not be neccesarry. Use thin stuff it's easier to work with and is better for making a molded looking holster, unless you are using the holster for more than one type of pistol.
I need some help. I made one for my Nitefinder but I'm having a problem with the lens adjustor. It does not allow me to pull it out quickly and takes an eternity to take it out. Anyone can help?

Some people make their holster for primaries i made mine for an elite dart😝
boi
Yaaaaaaaas
Lol
some people think that they can be funny for using crazy stuff like Vulcans and Rapidstrikes.
Well, guess what? I made one for my Centurion.
Wow. I want to see a Vulcan holster.
😂😂😂😂😂
dayway05 lol
and 2 days ago, I made one for my rhino-fire.
XD
Can you make a back draw holster tutorial? Like those holsters that rest on your back for primaries?
SwagMage21 just make it for your gun then hot glue a strap to the size of your torso and your done
Me Ben you ben
and the front hip hostler
Thank you for having this video. I used it to make a sweet holster for my Kronos.
This is an excellent idea. And I can see this easily used as a shape for anyone who would want to make a holster out of cloth or leather as well. thanks for an awesome tutorial
wow thanks! now i can make a holster for my two 3d printed thorns

FINALY! a decent holster and tutorial! Thank You!!!!!!!!! :)
We like you. Simple and straightforward.
Made one for my recon -3 fits perfectly on my back and I can freaking tumble down a mountain without that thing flying out!
This is great .Currently working on a barricade so this is perfect for it
Thanks man, that really helped me.
This is basically exactly the information I'm looking for, and exactly the way I'd like to do it. (working on a Deadpool costume!) xD Thank you! Though a lot of the activity was cut off by the angle of the camera- just a tip!
This Video's kind of ironic because he owns like two leather holsters for his hammer shots
This is from 2010 the hamershot or his leather holsters werent made yet.
i know but its still kind of ironic
+Dylan lim Not really. That's like it being ironic that you buy a car today, when you have to buy another car in fifteen years. you use what you have, until better options show themselves.
My 5 year old wants to make one, but he says, you have to paint it lol! ~Ellen
lol then don't t put duct tape just color the cardbord
Oh and by the way, I keep it on me with a belt slit instead of a string.

thx drac i tried it with my hammershot it works great
Hammershot is my favorite nerf blaster (pistol)

6: When the paper is almost dry, mould around the blaster(s but its better to do it one at a time)
7: make smaller strips for loops and then yeah....
8: Thank me later xD
I really like this. I did it with a 12 round mag left the bottom off so it will also fit a 18 round mag too.

This will probably help me make a better one for my nitefinder since the first one I made after a lot of running/moving starts falling off/weakening
Not quite how I made mine (for a modified Hammershot) but this definitely helps
hey drac i thought of an idea that worked and that was just get a mist sprayer with water and spray it a bit so its a bit wet that way it flexs a lot
Duct tape, cardboard and hot glue. The holy trinity of DIY.
I made mine as a drop leg holster for my rough cut
I use milk boxes to make my holsters :P
Good idea
Danilo Nakazone milk boxes?
@@gnnipgnnop183 Ah yes, canada
Thanks for the advice/how to

@XxPivotPwnsYOU9 Humans vs zombies. a game college kids (like me) play with nerf guns
Will it fit a thunderhawk tho? 🤔
@XxPivotPwnsYOU9 - Because it's between two factions: One being the humans, and the other being the Zombies. I'd suggest looking it up on google (or any other search engine) to get it explained better.
Just made a pair. Good video!

Thank you the holster works very well
And you're gonna come in...
can this work for a behind-the-back holster
I made my own, different, it fits a vigilon, barricade, praxis, etc.
awesome gun i think your videos are awesome
Here's a question:
In addition to being a HVZ enthusiast I'm also a traceur. I do a lot of running, jumping and rolling. How well would this little DIY holster hold up to a lot of high impact maneuvering? I'm worried it will fall apart while I'm at fill sprint or something.

Nice it worked for me!!! Thnx!
how awesome would a holster for a vulcan be!
You should make a granade launcher for HvZ
if you wear a belt, take a loop of rope and tape it to the holster. then thread that loop or rope through your belt and tie it off.
I did this with a rhinofire with centurions atached to sides then those centurions have vulcans on the sides
+Pikachu with a gun something tells me this isn't entirely practical... Or possible to hold without the Centurions and Vulcans falling off.
You for about the stampede on top :P
+Josh Hiatt forgot not for
Pikachu with a gun shut the fuck up you dumbass liar
Keegan Bane you're the dumbass, learn sarcasm
@LordDraconical oh my god. HvZ is the reason I'm watching your video haha. I need a holster for my mav. Our game starts monday, so stoked.
you could use metal coat hanger handles, bend them so that they fit inside the top of your pants and tape 'em up so you don't get scratched!
ur the coolest person ever
I use the Apollo and when I have nerf wars I tend to run jump and climb will this be steady enough and will it work with it
Thanks man really appreciate it
Really good 👍
Is a Longstrike CS6 with no barrel too long to fit in one?
thats sick i think im gonna try it
I only saw the first 1:00, so I made a barely usable one with only used cardboard and a crap-load of clear duct tape. At least it can fit my maverick, proton, vigilon, and barricade.Wish I´d actually seen the whole video.
Everybody hates the it's a jolt reskin meme
It is a jolt reskin
The only time i actually want to cut on the lines :D
It looks to me like a Spectre with some parts removed from it (such as the barrel).
I am planning on making a holster for the Longshot front blaster which is a lot bigger than a Spectre would a cardboard holster work?
Stupid question i'll probably have figured out tomorrow but i have to ask anyway.
I actually got distracted almost forgot about it
Do u think this would work with a rayven
use a clip like a cloths pin or a clip from a lanyard to hold the top
Can we use normal glue or strong glue?
Can I use Super Glue instead of Hot Glue?
why not use craft foam for a belt holder or use some old plastic
It's good, but I think it could be better. I don't understand why you didn't make it all (including the bottom) out of a single piece of card rather than having to cut and attach a bottom section. @H3CTIKxStudios So what does enjoying both make me? :P
thx! it worked for me
It really is for any nerf blaster, i made one for my nerf vulcan.
If you didn't use so much cardboard and maybe i don't know... not use corregated cardboard it would be lighted and hotglue would not be neccesarry. Use thin stuff it's easier to work with and is better for making a molded looking holster, unless you are using the holster for more than one type of pistol.
How do I make the strap?
@SwampieNew You can scrap it off
Work for a Maverick?
I need some help. I made one for my Nitefinder but I'm having a problem with the lens adjustor. It does not allow me to pull it out quickly and takes an eternity to take it out. Anyone can help?
Ya draw will it work with the apollo
should i holster my barricade?
@H3CTIKxStudios what if you do both like me?
Will this work for th Vulcan??
@randomdude9112011
sure considering the fact that epoxy is stronger then hot glue.....
do you play hvz at you dorm and if you do how many people woud you say play it
Wouldn't it just be easier to cut out two of the rectangles?
For my 2 strike fires it worked really well me and my mates came together for dart tag they could only Carry a gun I could carry both of mine hehehe
This kinda helped but I have a proton
Looking for a holster for a cycloneshock and this is on of the top results on google. How weird
It works for any other toy gun too for those who wants to make a short movie
couldn't you put a hole or two on the side of your holster, put a carabiner through it, and then hook it to your pants?
Pretty cool
would epoxy work?
@wereshark1 theres such thing???
what is the purpose of a holster
Thanks I made one for my Magnus
i made a pink camoflauge one out of a shoe box for my zombiestrike doublestrike
Great holster, try covering it in camo duct tape.
The loop at the bottom of the gun is fo a string or something
what was that gun called
what nerf gun is that? Maverick?
