4:00 another organization pro tip I also use. Place numbers in front of your folders to arrange them in the order you will use them. This will keep them in the same order no matter what new files you add to the folder later on (because by default they will arrange alphabetically). Make sure to use a two digit system starting with zero, for folders 1-9. The purpose of this is because if you start with a single digit numbering scheme, folder 10 would be arranged before folder 2, because the first digit in the folder name is 1, which is lower than 2. So you would get: 10, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. What you want is: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10 🙂

Macbooks are amazing machines. Even if people hate on it for being “slow” compared to $2000+ pc, the new silicon chips are unbeatable. It doesn’t get warm, takes most tasks that your pc can do, and macs have an amazing portability and build quality. It’s almost unbeatable.

I stopped using the desktop for storing files or launching applications quite some time ago. The only usage I still have for the desktop are aesthetic wallpapers and since (somewhat) recent updates widgets. It has automatically made me help organizing my files and folders and makes me think how and where I want to store files and helps me in preventing clutter.

Hey Mac Vince. Nice work. Your skills are outstanding. Freelance ad agency writer/producer for 15 years & with an agency for the previous 25. (TV ad whore, V/O guy, audio engineer & training video's mainly). I've been predominately windows/adobe based, you've have helped me rediscover macOS after the purchase of an m1 MacBook Air. Your video's are highly informative and entertaining. Some of your B roll choices are quite interesting. Great sense of humor. Keep up the good work. Thanks for all your help.

I just got my first Macbook so i started looking for videos to learn about using it since i have used Windows for like 20 years. Your videos are the best ones on UA-cam by far, so thank you for creating them.
I just wanted to make one note, even tho Mac is complex OS like any other, there is much things to talk about but after a while you will cover most of them and then try not to repeat them too much. I would rather focus on useful apps and going more into details on them.
    Cheers!

Can you share the shortcut to open two apps side by side? I don’t see it in the description. Thanks!

Hey! Thank you, means a lot! Sadly, there‘s no native solution to get more menu bar space. However, 2 possible workarounds: 1. Go to Control Center in the Settings app and you can do stuff like show an analog clock (to save space) remove the battery icon and other stuff. Might help to get more space for your apps! Check out my Mac customization videos/clean Mac setup for more. 2. Apps like Hidden Bar or Bartender can help you collapse menu bar items or even get a “second” menu bar. Hope this helps!
