Fun fact: The reason why Aoyama brought up Uraraka's crush on Deku in season 3 could be because he tried to self-sabotage himself so that he didn't have to go to the training camp and put his classmates in danger. Something that likely would have gotten him killed if he had succeeded. Basically, he tried to kill himself in an attempt not to endanger his friends, but he failed.
This is so sad. It goes to show that you never know what's going on inside someone's mind and heart, even when they are smiling big.
Yes. That's sad. But even so that wouldn't have worked because all those who failed still get to go to the camp.

Thank UA-cam for reccomend me this channel , i really relate with your reaction , when i first watched this episode today i scream because u never realized Aoyama could be the traitor .
Now i feel really bad about him and i start to like very much , and i went to all of his old scene to rewatched and see if there some "hint" to make us understand the reveal.
Aside of the scene they already show in this episode like Dabi that didn't care about him in the woods and other thing , i saw that in the last episode of season 1 , Aoyama asked to Tsu "you know were i was" she says no , and he say "it's a secret" watching right on "us" viewers direction .
Again the next hint i think is at the camp , when they trained their technique the morning (the villain weren't arrived yet) he uses his laser in the sky for training , but probably he send the signal for the villain with the location .
Again he says in season 3 during the exam with Iida , he was found by the class Rep with two target hits and in a corner, probably he was scared to lose (becoming useless for AFO and probably could became the deaths of his parents) and at the same time he was scared to win because that could make continue his work as spy .
Another thing and i find this the saddest is that his hero name his "i can't stop twinkling" which i think was only a joke but he literally can't stop twinkling (giving position/information) because if he does , that could kill his parents and him , and in the end he says that hates to being "different" so when we saw him from season 1 being weird and "standin out a lot" i think i does for tring to asking help (without being noticed) but because his class is full of weirdos that seems normal for everyone , so i'm pretty sure he's only acting like a weirdo but in reality he really just want to live a normal life... Poor man .
P.s. I just remember than only after AFO was caught but All might , Aoyoma started to make friends like Midoriya while before of that he eats alone and he didn't talk with anybody... Probably for guilty , this was more tragic than expected i will be honest...
I love that you detailed these out!! I also was going back, but just in my head, to remember all these instances, but I missed a lot of these. Its crazy how it all makes sense, right? The poor kid. I bet he felt so alone. :'( But I am so glad that Midoria and his big heart and his classmates immediately came up with a way for him to redeem himself!!! I cant wait to see what's next!
It was so perfect in the manga. Cause for us, the chapter ended with that shot of hagakure. So it left us on a HUGE cliffhanger for a week! So the tensions were high. And then horikoshi hit us with a full on fakeout lol

I’m just gonna say it, Aoyama doesn’t deserve to be imprisoned for this. He’s a kid who was forced into a situation where he had the choice of doing what he was told or dying with his parents. I know there’s consequences and stuff, but like, I’m with Midoriya here. Good on him and the class for standing by their friend!

I highly disagree. Although it seems smart to use hagakure as the mole considering her quirk. But in reality especially from a storytelling standpoint it just wouldn't be satisfying or fulfilling. Like using the invisible girl as the traitor? A toddler could come up with that plot
Right? After my rant about it, I had a weird feeling about it. No way they would just show a detail like that so casually. I'm so glad I was wrong because the way the story unraveled was ten times better.

Fun fact: horikoshi (the creator) wanted to reveal the traitor way back in the training camp arc, but his editors convinced him not to. Which was a big W from the editors. Cause revealing the traitor now is much better than if he was revealed WAY earlier and the emotional connection for the students wouldn't be as impactful
