Great video as always Adam! The interesting thing about the line is that it’s a lot of country side. Woodstock and Harvard stations have that old town feel as well as Crystal Lake. Makes you travel back in time to how the railroad was before Metra
A lot of the freights on this line are locals. I have a friend that goes to the Palatine station, and he has told me that he’s seen a few locals on the line
This is of course the longest line in the Metra system. A few others are unique. The Electric Line is the shortest at 31 miles, the UP North is the only line to travel outside of Illinois to Kenosha Wisconsin, and the UP West is the most western line which goes out to Elburn.
