  • Welcome back to another #watercolor #landscape painting tutorial. I'm a big fan if you haven't stopped by my channel before, of painting landscapes without ant sort of reference or photograph, yes sure its always handy to have a reference to use in your creative process but there's also something quite nice about being free to paint what you want, and use which ever colours you want.
This painting I'm using mostly my hake brush but you can use any large brush to get the surface of your paper of choice covered without over thinking things too much. The paints I'm using for this landscape this week is my M.grahams, which are very nice and vibrant and really easy to re-wet.
For this painting I really enjoyed building up my scene as I add my darker tones and values. Then using my pallette knife to scrape out some rocks in the foreground to give me that rugid and wild landscape, simular to what you might find in Wales or a Scottish scene.
Why not give this sort of painting a go, it might actually surprise you if you are a beginner to the medium what you can achieve, just keep practising and enjoy the painting. Please leave me a comment and give me a thumbs up and subscribe if you aren't already. Thankyou for watching 👀 ☺️
