I'm really hoping that Mando will be redeemed now that he finally got to "bathe" in the living waters of Mandalore but I've still got my eye on Bo-Katan, I know she's got some kind of plan up her sleeve just not sure what yet! Happy to see Mando get redeemed and also Bo-Katan??? lol wonder if she'll actually keep her helmet on now and live the way of the Mandalorians. Very interesting episode, wasn't expecting it to focus on Dr. Pershing and Elia but I suppose I understand why. Thinking that Elia is not "rehabilitated" and has some plan up her sleeve. Perhaps working for Moff Gideon? I'm interested in hearing your theories! I hope you enjoy my reaction!

Bo is definitely up to something, she was a pretty evil character in the clone wars show until Maul showed up and she kinda my enemy is your enemy working with Ahsoka and the clones to take down Maul. Also if the directing/writing as it has been on the level of breaking bad, nothing is shown without a reason with that ending scene of Bo. For Din rescuing Grogu she didn't seem to care until he brought up that he had the darksaber. I do really feel like her and Mando have mutual respect for each other but she'd do anything to get back in power or maybe her home has been destroyed and she has really no other options than to follow the way and stick with them.

So happy that mando got redeemed also Bo-Katan hope She keeps her helmet and follows the rules because she's alone and has no army but Din's other mandalorians and doctor scene was okay But I agree with you Lauren my favorite part was the beginning and the end with Mando and Grogu, Bo-Katan!!!🖤💚💙

It's Bo reconciling her jaded experience with tradition with this sense of community and acceptance. Her people abandoned her when she couldn't be what they expected. Here she's welcomed despite that, just for honoring the legacy of her people.
Oh Elia was totally playin him from the start. She was to nice and accommodating. She walked him to the gallows with a smile on his face. Bo Katan has something brewing u Der that helmet and I'm betting it's getting the Dark Saber from Mando. Speaking of, loved seeing more of Mandos MAD piloting skills. That boy can fly. Definitely a slower, character driven story this time. Lauren, it is always such a joy to watch with you🥰❤. In case you dont hear this enough, Thank you for everything you do. I loved this episode felt like a mix of Andor and Mando with nice range of aliens, something Andor lacked. Love how it showcase more colourful art deco depiction of Coruscant instead of the more brutalist cold depiction of the city we saw in Andor which suited the Imperial rule. Loved that we saw a good amount of iconic landmarks from the films and tv shows like Clone Wars. Also loved how they showcased the everyday life of a former Imperial now under the New Republic rule it was an interesting episode that did far more worldbuilding for the New Republic than any other media for me in canon. Felt very Star Trek in this regard focusing more of dialogue and character interactions something we've really only seen in Andor, Novels, and Star Wars video games like Knights of the Old Republic.
We saw how mixed Andor was for Star Wars fans for being different so I'm not too surprised that some Mandalorian fans were taken aback by this episodes massive change of pace. One second you're watching a Saturday morning cartoon and the next you're diving into the politics and drama of former imperial members trying to find their way under the New Republic with events and topics inspired by 1984. Very different change in overall tone and one that will not go over with every fan. But yeah this episode is slightly more character drama in a more grounded setting following normal people. I could definitely see this being a left over from the Rangers of the New Republic show that was cancelled so they used an episode idea and placed it in Mandalorian Season 3 to develop the New Republic while also showing the Imperials infiltrating the New Republic. It just seems very out of place and Rangers sounded like the perfect show for an episode like

Little detail that makes this show great with character development, notice how when Dr. Pershing is nervous or lies he brushes his right ear like some form of ptsd from when Cara shot that imperial pilot holding him hostage there.
If Bo wanted the Dark Saber, she literally had it in her hands fighting crab-bot last episode. She's had multiple opportunities to kill Din while he was trapped/unconscious. She could have let him drown and walked away with it.
I know there's a story here, but I don't think it's what you think.

Didn't expect to be shown the dystopian side of the new republic. Interested to see if they push it further.
In real life, law enforcement sets up vulnerable people in exactly the same way. They find someone unhappy with some aspect of their life or society, goad them into planning something, bust them for it, and then pat themselves on the back for having stopped a crime, all while ignoring the fact that the person would never have done anything on their own.

I think Bo definitely has something brewing but you can tell she had some feelings about being accepted again. All the other Mandalorians she was with abandoned her when she didn't reclaim the Dark Saber and this group just welcomed her in.
I think Bo Katan accepts the old ways.
The Republic is into some dark shit in this episode lol
Hey Laurenn, the part with Doctor Pershing felt like it could have been a stand alone episode.🙂At first I thought this might have been a simulation by the Empire to get the doctor working again on cloning. It kind of felt surreal. Yeah, that was too much a coincidence that woman was on the same ship as him. She is working for the Empire, probably dealing with loose ends. I don't know Laurenn. I think Bo might be thinking there is more to this than she thought, after seeing what we presume is the Mythosaur.

What I want to know is why the communications officer was allowed to take the research material that Pershing stole. Someone else is backing her play in this betrayal.
Also, as a non religious person, it upsets me to see Din Djarin running back into his fanatic cult. I was hoping Bo would pull things in the other direction. Maybe she still will? That's what I'm hoping for here.
Yeah I was bored at the doctor stuff. Too slow. Cuts could have been made.

Just felt this season of Mando has been Meh so far. Seems to me at least that this episode was filler to replace one of the eps shoved into BOBF & they just bolted what woudve been the end of last weeks on to the beginning & end of this ep.

BORING!!!!!! I loved the intro and the ending, but I feel they were added because Favreau knew that if we got nothing but a Star Wars equivalent of a trip tot he DMV and a back story for a boring weanie doctor, we'd riot. Seriously... glad he's hopefully braindead now. If we have to sit though him filling out taxes or standing in line at the Republic grocery store next week.... I'll go crazy.
