Juicy Lucy Burgers Video 1

- A favorite of Minnesotans! The famous Juicy Lucy! Mmmm. So good. You MUST use American cheese on this to achieve the juiciness in the middle! You can even sautee mushrooms and onions and put on them too!
FUN FACT: A Jucy Lucy or Juicy Lucy is a cheeseburger with cheese inside the meat instead of on top, resulting in a melted core of cheese. Two bars in Minneapolis claim to be the inventor of the burger, while other bars and restaurants have created their own interpretations of the style.
2 ½ pounds ground beef
2 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
Sliced Cheese (any kind I used swiss, and American cheddar
Hamburger Buns, split
Sliced Tomatoes
Pickles
Sliced Onion
Lettuce
Mayo
Mustard
1.Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings in a large bowl; mix well. Form 2 thin patties from the beef for each burger. Each patty should be slightly larger than a slice of cheese.
2. Cut each slice of American cheese into 4 equal pieces; stack the pieces(i used 2 slices of cheese per burger, cause we wanted it extra cheesy). Sandwich one stack of cheese between 2 ground beef patties. Tightly pinch edges together tightly seal the cheese within the meat. Repeat with the remaining cheese and patties.
3.Preheat a cast-iron or other heavy bottomed skillet over medium heat. Cook burgers until well browned, about 4 minutes. It is common for burgers to puff up due to steam from the melting cheese. Turn burgers and prick the top of each to allow steam to escape; cook until browned on the outside and no longer pink on the inside; about 4 minutes.
I did mine on my Ninja Foodi Grill! You can also grill on you charcoal grill or gas grill outside!
Serve on hamburger buns with all the topping you like.

You don't have to worry about the video being to long. Other cooking shows do it all in one, you should as well. People are on here because they enjoy watching you and what you make.🙂
Yesss!
Honey you couldn't have said it better!
I agree. I love watching her because she's real!!!
@@charleen.7784 Right!
My thoughts exactly 👍🏻
I'm watching this and I feel so relaxed. You're exactly what we need Sara. This world is too crazy right now. ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, let’s get back to normal: 5 lbs of cheese inside 15 lbs of hamburger meat
Leave it to Sara to save humanity. Seeing her makes quarantine seem very necessary
Her breathing is scary.
@@xmuta no you are.
Hello from the Czech Republic. You are the reason why I want to arrive to USA, say hello and taste the first meal from you
Such expectations
Very different food but Depression Cooking With Clara and Simply Sara are ladies that are so nice and down to earth...
Every time Sara tells us something or asks okay? I always find myself answering her, okay!
😂
That’s not okay, okay? 🤣
That's so cute isn't it? I grew up in Kansas and that was a common thing people always saying ok? I still get teased about it but I don't sound near as cute as Sara. 😁
Me too! I'd LOVE for her to go live! That'd be fun! I love her!
I have never had a juicy lucy but that's about to change. Oh my! Looks wonderful.
cheese inside is a great idea rather than on top! :)
Yep! I’m from Minnesota! The 5-8 Club is the one that originated it and it’s sooooooooo GOOD! ♥️
I read there is more than one who claims that, but big deal. I made burgers like this back in the 1980s.
Nooooo Matt's Bar did!!
I like 5-8's, but I think Matt's bar has the best one
I've never heard of a juicy Lucy but I'm going to make it
You are some busy woman Sara! You accomplish so much in one day and still manage to whip up yummy meals for your family! Plus you tape everything for us to enjoy! I admire you Sara, you are a real go getter!
Been making these for years, never knew this was a name for them! Thanks for sharing Sara!
Just found you sweetie. I love your cooking, May God continue to bless you. Thanks again. Jeff/ North Carolina.
Some famous Minnesota burgers!!! Proud Minnesotan
Thank you Sara for having great ideas. Enjoy watching your videos. Thank you again.
Love watching your great recipes! Such a lovely person you are💕
Hi Sara, these look so delicious!I have never seen this recipe! Thank you for sharing 😊
My husband and I really enjoy your videos.
I've watched the older ones and your newer ones.
When you're recording the videos, I like when your camera isn't so close and right upon the food you're fixing. We also like when it is all in one video. Like the older ones, where you just pause recording and start recording when you're ready to begin again.
Keep up the good work!
Sooo delicious, thank you for sharing, Sara!
I've made my burgers like this forever, my kids used to love them, now they make them for their own families. I love it.
Exactly...this isn't some "invention" by some bar! 😁
Hi Sara, I always look forward to your videos. We will be cooking up German sausages and serving with sauerkraut and roasted vegetables. Enjoy your BBQ!
A burger with a cheesy waterfall sounds like just what the doctor ordered, thank you for another great video Sara!

We had burger and hot dogs today (: I’ve always wanted to try burgers like this though maybe in the near future!!😋😋
Definitely making these.
Now THIS is a burger! Yummmm
That's some big burgers !!!
Sara if you had a digital scale 2 1/2 pounds divided by 8 it comes out to a 5oz Patty approximately then you will have it all uninformed ok just a thought
Thanks Sara... I'm going to try this. Looks really good.
Hey Sarah, to make them even juicier I add two onions, one tomato blended, 3 tbsp of strained greek yogurt and 1 teaspoon of baking powder per 500grams of minced meat (along with the herbs and spices of choice and olive oil- I use oregano, garlic, salt, black pepper, sweet red pepper and smoked paprika)
Why baking powder just curious?
@@sheiladaniels8751 i have tried it and it made the burger fluffier tbh, i got the info from a chef and just was like ok since u say so ill try
@@sheiladaniels8751 also each way i recommended above(onion or tomato or yogurt or baking powder) i have tried alone and they all help but i just ended up using them all together and i did like the result tbh. Also in my country we used a day old bread soaked in water and then drained for extra flufiness so you may need some breadcrumbs to soak up the tomato and onion juices. But over here literally everyone just uses day old bread rather than powdered breadcrumbs tbh
i also tried it with just greek strained yogurt, spices, herbs, olive oil, egg and no bread or bread crumbs when i had a health issue and was avoiding too many carbs, it worked rly well and was fluffy af. Anyways, just some ideas, you can experiment lol, im really thinking of experimenting with a tbsp of tzatziki instead of just yogurt next time
Ohhhh wow those look amazing!! Can I be a family member lol your cooking looks so darn Delicious 😋😋 it was so cute when u said " I'm gonna steal some meat off this one and nobody will ever know" teehee everyone that watches this will know but we won't tell well I won't 🤗 Have a blessed day sweetie!!!
Looks good ;) I'm gonna try these
Just in time for Memorial Day, YAY!!!🥰
Hi Sara all the way from Southern California 💛🥰🏖🌞🌴 me n my hubby n our children love you n your show. Your so adorable n 😍 down to earth! My kids love your cooking btw
The Juicy Lucy was invented in MN. We lived there for a few years and all the restaurants have them now, but the originator of the Juicy Lucy was the 5-8 Club in Minneapolis.
...or Matt's Bar, depending who you ask
Matts bar in Minneapolis makes them....so good! they were the original 'juicy Lucy' maker!
Looks good Sara! I'd eat it.💚
My husband wants spaghetti!! So I'm making that for him! He loves my Italian spaghetti!! Us Italian's cook our sauce all day sometimes 2 days!! Delicious!! Next time I'll make him your burgers!! Love ya Sara!! 🙏❤🙌🇺🇸
That sounds like heaven, Italian food is my favourite 🥰
We grilled burgers, pork chops, and chicken habanero and mango sausages!! Yum!
Love you!! ❤
Wow! The bottom was the size of a regular burger for me. These are HUGE! Looks good though.
RandtMurf They shrink up on the grill.
Yes I understand that. :) I grill burgers quite often.
These recipes look so delish! Oh drag! I’m hungry now! 😂❤️
“Oh drag!” :) That’s cute.

I like you!! You seem like such a lovely person. I wish I was back in America just to visit you. Keep posting okay 👌. I’ll keep watching. Hugs from down under 🇦🇺
Sara you like swiss, i love swiss. You should use Jarlsberg, yum and thanks for videos. I saw the creator place who made juicy Lucys and can't remember either :)
These are my favorite.
When she said “small ball” I wasn’t prepared for that monstrousity. And there are two patties! Dang!
I know! She said 2.5 lbs for 4 burgers....3/4 lbs burgers!! If you leave hungry there it is your own fault!🤭
balls are all relative
@@devonhbowes big juicy balls my dood
So sad....I am in a whole30 and can't have cheese. These look great 🐶🐶
Delicious!
Love all u cook yummy
Look so yummy. I've gotta try this. I was once told to always roll you meat into equal balls first. That way you will always have equal size burgers. 🍔🍔🍔🍔
Sara I could watch you all day long, and this is so endearing of you and it’s actual time none of those fancy cooking videos that have every conceivable angle and how they do that click their fingers and it’s done, Simply Sara videos are your way the sara way ❤❤❤❤ don’t try to be like the flock because you do it you’re way you stand out from the crowd ❤❤❤❤
