I also didn't really utilize the most of my Gamecube or Wii's library of games. I did play some essentials such as Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, Sonic Adventure 1&2, Pokemon, Melee & Brawl. Although I recall playing some Nicktoon themed games for my sister when she got stuck on what to do and I got stuck, too. I felt bad when I couldn't help, especially with the lack of a computer at the time.

Hamza is right about Sonic's philosophy. Super Mario Bros World 1-1 was the inspiration for Sonic's gameplay as a whole as everyone has go through that first level and want to get it over with asap. Despite most 3D Sonic games having alternate routes, at the end of the day there will always be one preferred route for the sake of S Ranks & overall enjoyment. Sonic Generations was the best 3D example of utilizing multiple pathways. 2D Sonic is a bit different as I have little experience with them but Sonic Mania has been the most refined portrayal mainly for having fans become the developers and they knew exactly what they wanted and how to implement it.

You're in for a treat with Kamen Rider Agito. It's got some of the highest highs in all of toku IMO

I spent over 350 hours playing Fight'N Rage; arguably the best beat 'em up game since it's release in 2017. Got it in August 2022 and been playing it almost nonstop. Since then, the game has gotten updates more so in 2023 where it became playable with current gen consoles. Fight'N Rage has a small following but it's impressive as one person made the whole game minus the OST. An average arcade run lasts an hour which is fine BUT the game is notoriously difficult with settings going from Easy, Medium, Hard, Hardest, Insane & Unfair. I'm currently playing at the Insane level and haven't been able to unlock Unfair Mode. However, the game does subtly make fun of you for picking easy as the icon has a pacifier on it. The ironic part is the game is still difficult on the easier settings and you have to beat it on Normal to unlock Easy mode. Fight'N Rage will definitely make you lose lives but you feel rewarded for surpassing high difficulties. After a while, the previous settings will seem insignificant including stuff like Hard & Hardest.

Ay, I see Agumon on the photo.
I'm also a Digimon fan too since that show along with other anime shows I watched growing up on Jetix,4Kids,KidsWB!, and Toonami/CN like Yu-Gi-Oh!,Pokemon,Transformers: Unicron Trilogy, and G.I.Joe Sigma 6 was my 1st introduction to anime before I gotten into PG-13 or R-Rated anime like Gurren Lagann and Devilman, good times :D

Your description of what's in Dandadan also checks all of my boxes and I am starting this ASAP now.
I had no idea Sengoku Youko was officially in English now until this podcast and I was eating as I was listening to this and almost did a spit take. Satoshi Mizukami's three big works (Biscuit Hammer, Sengoku Youko, and Spirit Circle) are all tied for my favorite manga ever and the final chapter of Sengoku Youko is one of the most beautiful, existential things I've ever read. Shinsuke is one of my favorite fictional characters ever.

Dandandan is fantastic and I really need to make a vid for it at some point. Yeah Sengoku Youko getting officially release was a surprise but definitely welcomed. Glad to have more Mizukami manga in my collection…if only seven seas would print more Spirit Circle volumes

If I were a manga creator, I don't think I could create an assassin/hitman series.

When y'all started talking about assassin manga in Jump i assume it would eventually lead to talking about Black Angels lol, it got on the assassin trend 41 years too early ig

I thought of japanese suicide squad too when I was watching Hell Paradise. I can't wait to hear you guys talking about suicide squad isekai. I feel like I'm the only person who likes / doesn't hate jokers design it reminds me of Jared letos I have even seen edit where they had the tattoo to the character.

A manga that I'm surprised is actually pretty interesting. It is grenadier. Yes, it has an anime, but the anime is a different story. A lot of the action scene and weaponry are really thought out. You can tell the author put a lot of thought into that stuff. There is, of course boobies and butts shot, but it's bound to happen.
