Terrific news = Dehset bir haber = Tağriyon haber all means Good news. But you can be right because i am not Christian and i do not know the context of this song.

However, I have close friends who are of Pontos origin who speak this dialect, and they explained to me the lyrics. It is not unusual for the same words to have different meanings for say Turkish Rumca speakers, and Greek Rumca speakers. Also the context in which a word is used can give different meanings The last lyrics of this song says, Βαϊ εμάς, αϊλλοί εμάς που επεκατήβαμε αΐκον τρανόν κακόν άλλον πουθέν κ' είδαμε. This translates by my memory "Woe for us, calamity for us, that has befallen us an unjust and great bad, that we have never seen before."
