An explanation to why you can't just kick Chucky like a football is that according to the TV show, Chucky has the strength of a grown adult man. Plus, his speed is incredible too. He could simply just run in, slice your leg then hide. Run in, slice your thigh and hide until you bleed out. A lot of people tend to underestimate Chucky a lot. Sure, he's not as dangerous as Michael, Jason, Freddy or Leatherface but he's still dangerous nonetheless.
