I like Pen-g a lot more than Cubbo, and I just hope they don’t shove Pen-g down our throats like they did the demon bear 😅 The figure is done really well. I love how he’s just a lil guy that pops out, you can even swap penguins out (though I wish that had an affect on gameplay) The core is pretty good too. Though he’s clearly another Cubbo I hope this mold ends up getting a galactic
I believe what you have is what I like to call: "a dead magnet Bakugan" I have Diamond Sp. Atk. Pen-G as well, and works just fine. During manufacturing, the plastic nub that holds the magnet may get shifted during assembly, resulting in the "dead magnet" in the Bakugan. It's pretty rare to happen as I only have TWO Bakugan with "dead magnets" out of the 50+ that I own😅
Seems like we have opposite fortunes with our Pen-Gs. Yours doesn't like to open whilst mine either doesn't like to close easily or slide off the SA base when trying to close it.
Genuine question; have you tried getting him open and leaving him open on a gate card for a few hours or something? That’s how I’ve fixed weak magnets in mine. Just a thought 🤷🏻♂️
I think Pen-g heard how you were smack-talking him, so he didn't want to come out. 😂 Honestly, I think you have a defect, as I have Gen 2 bakugan that just either never wants to open or never stay closed. It's a side effect of mass-produced toys, unfortunately.

The montage reminds me of when Drago didn't want to open when Dan wanted to use golden titanium
Great unboxing review video
Final comment, I do actually like the fact you can remove him from his ball, and I wish more Bakugan came with that gimmick.
Imagine telling someone that bakugan are balls that turn into monster
Then seeing peng, a small kinder toy in a plastic shell. 10/10 design🙃
Magnets, how do they work for Pen-G?
Yes 😊

After finishing the video I’ve actually been leaving him on a Gate Card all day while I’m working. We will see later if that fixed it
Yeah it did not
0:30 😳
5:16 - 5:21 - 5:27 I think u gotta change the flywheel
I didn't hate Cubbo originally, just the way he was shoved down our throats so often. Pen-g is a different level, though.
Unfortunately, it's probably a factory defect 😅
I imagine spin master making Deka Special Attack Bakugan
He is a cool looking toy, so I will try to pick him up
Pen-g: oh i’m just here to give you a hard time. Hehehe.
Me: *Sighs…*
Just in case I wouldn't have that problem

Go buy the core instead.
That new cobbo is so annoying to open that I wouldn't buy that
