In this video, I explore and compose a song using the Lydian Sharp 2 Mode. It's the 6th mode of the Harmonic Minor Scale. I discuss what makes it different from Ionian (Major) and Lydian. It also has a surprising feature that is not very common: it has a minor chord AND a major chord on the tonic.
I use a 2022 American Original 60s Telecaster Thinline to demonstrate
In the final version I use:
Guitar: 2022 American Original 60s Telecaster Thinline
Bass: Fender Bass VI Pawn Shop

    Piano: Steinberg Verve Felt Piano
Vocals recorded with a CAD Equitek E-350 with a Kaotica Eyeball FatBoy
Backing vocals recorded with a Shure SM7B with an sE Electronics DM1 Dynamite
I use the Art Pro MPA II and the Art Pro VLA II as outboard gear.
My MIDI controller is a Yamaha DX7
Everything is recorded using a Universal Audio Apollo Twin USB.
Mixed and recorded with Cubase 12 Pro.
