I'm happy I got the Paul and Denny co-writes for London Town correct and the Help covers too! As I head into my 6th decade next week I find my Wings/Paul knowledge has stuck more than my Beatles nerdism.

That question was easy for me. But Ken asks questions that stump me too.

Ken I highly respect 🫡 you because you ask tough questions on this show. The math 🧮 question was easy and I did remember the clubs they played but not in chronology. I easily remember Chaos and Choose Love ❤️ because those are my favorite albums by Paul and Ringo. Thank you for the shows.

Press to Play and Time Takes Time in 2005? I’m thinking Rick misheard the year 😅

Ken new to your channel…I don’t think you are honest enough about the solo..I think you let your love for the fab 4 get in the way of their pretty average solo career…enjoy the chats..thanks Ken

Martin---Well, I can only be honest about my feelings, and I genuinely love the solo-careers of the Beatles as much as I do their work together. I love their individual styles, and to me, John, Paul & George emerged as 3 of the greatest songwriters of all time. I treasure what they did together, but I take the time to really listen to what they've done on their own. I would never deny the greatness of the band, but they never stopped putting out great music on their own. I spoke with someone recently who told me he listens to Paul McCartney's solo-music more than the Beatles. Nothing at all wrong with that. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

@@kenmichaelsradio748 yes Ken I understand that I also enjoy the solo..but I do compare to the beatles and the difference in quality is startling..
There are many solo songs that could have been Beatles songs no problem..thanks for reply Ken

@@martinmcgrath1985 We obviously have a difference of opinion. There are plenty of solo songs that I like more than their group songs, and vice versa. It isn't black and white. I'm not the only one that feels that way, and if you pay attention to many of the shows I do you'll find there are guests that I have on that feel the same way. It's also futile to compare everything to the Beatles, otherwise I wouldn't listen to anything else because there has never been a greater band, IMO. It doesn't matter whether we agree or not, just that we respect each other's opinions. The Beatles' solo-careers are being reassessed these days on many podcasts and You Tube channels, and are being viewed more favorably.

@@kenmichaelsradio748 songs like let me roll it, calico skies, uncle albert are Beatles standard EASILY..my issue is with albums like press to play, pipes of peace, extra texture, dark horse..I can’t believe what Beatles fans will call a good song!
I see a lot of Beatles solo as loving those four people so much they won’t let it go..regardless of the standard of music at times..
IMO the Beatles top albums are pepper, abbey road, white album, revolver..
The tier below that are MMT and rubber soul..
I would take MMT over ALL Beatles solo..
And Ken I say this as someone who loves all things must pass, ram, flaming pie, imagine, plastic Ono and Ringo!
If you lay all those albums down and MMT im lifting MMT!!!
I’m happy to say any Beatles albums I haven’t named above I’d take all those solo albums over that’s fair enough..
Anyone who tells me wings over the Beatles I think they are mentally deranged…
Ken I swear to almighty god I believe this!

@@martinmcgrath1985 You're entitled to your opinions. I like hearing all opinions whether I agree with them or not. Music is art, and it is all subjective. We all have different ears, and it's important to respect that.
