    We bought a 1997 Jayco Pop-Up in 2007 and just sold it and purchased a 2010 Eagle Lite 25RKS
    It is a big step up from the pop-up.
    The pop-up was still in great condition at 23 years old with original canvas.
    I had added a larger water tank and a pump... such luxury! I had a bidding war to buy it.
    Looking forward to another decade or more with this Jayco!

    I love my Jayco Alante! No, it doesn't have the fit and finish of a $2 million motor coach but it's a lot of well thought out and functional motorhome for the price and performs well for me!

    We are RV newbies - just bought a 2015 White Hawk 24RKS and have read the manual. Can't locate the water pump to check/clean the wire mesh strainer of grit. Know from the sound and forums that it's near the sink, but having crawled into a very tight space, can not find it! Please help if it is impt to clear the mesh - Also, to replace eventually, we need to find it. Thanks!

    I have a 2015 Jayco 287bhsw unit. Your video shows the same water heater I have, but I can't find the switch to start the pilot ignitor. Would it be on the monitor panel where i have a switch that says HTR, or is that for the water tank?

    I took mine apart and cleaned everything made sure there was no cracks or breaks but my DSI FLT light is still coming on. I only use my electric switch for the water heater. I have a Jayco J flight 2016. There is no corrosion, I reset my breaker and even disconnected all power while working on the water heater. I’m not sure what else to do

    Can you drain the tank without taking the plug out? I released the pressure valve and had my low point drain open and it started coming out there.

    Great video. I am having an issue with my Atwood WH. It is burning back through the air shutter.
    I cleaned the tube and vacuumed the heat exchanger both not helped.
    Any ideas?

      Monte, sounds to me like you have an obstruction blocking the burn orifice.
      Take it apart and see if you do.

    Is the space the same to replace my 3 gallon hot water heater in my 2001 Jayco Kiwi 23b with a larger 6 gallon.

    Hello. Water ran everywhere after turning it on at the campsite. This happened on our first post-winter trip. Turning off the hot water valve solved the problem, so I'm sure we most likely have a busted hot water heater since we didn't drain it pre-winter, as we live in Texas and weren't expecting the freeze we had in February of this year.
    How do I check it to be sure and is replacing the heater an easy DIY task?

    First check your clogged flue.. and try and then...
    After that you can shut off the gas valve in your tank !!

    I have no hot water flow in my 2020 jayco. Can these methods work?

    • @Markomyt1
      @Markomyt1 3 роки тому

      No flow at all? You might have your bypass valve shut after winterizing.

    This question is not about water heater but would appreciate some help.
    I have a Jayco 28 RLS and would like to know if I can open the one window in my bedroom that has a red lock handle on it. It had a “exit”sign on it as well. The salesman said I shouldn’t but an RV tech said it ok to open. Can you help?

    • @Markomyt1
      @Markomyt1 3 роки тому +2

      Sure you can push that open. Split a piece of PVC and use it as a prop for the window.
      Sometimes I wonder if some of the Sales people even camp...???

    Do TANKLESS Water heaters need any special attention during winterizing

    • @Markomyt1
      @Markomyt1 3 роки тому

      YES! They still have a tank... just a smaller one, it needs to be drained.

    Could you post step by step live winterizing and de-winterizing and what to do when you connect to city water for a 28RL? The manual guide lacks info and not instructive.

    Water heater failed to ignite due to some lose wore that got crimped out of the factor. Could not et warranty work approved so we replaced the system with a tankless water heater and will NEVER work with Jayco again. Warranty is crap.

    This is a terrible video for anyone looking to learn how to use their hot water system. The only thing useful was the air flow control. Everything else was self explanatory for people that have already owned a camper for a while.
