What a blast from the past! The pool parties...The Cornish...managing a 'triple Crowner' and wondering what the black stuff on your shoes from the dance floor was...!
I remember The Crown, well parts of it! Tavistock is also home to the most amazing hospital which is rich in history, it has the best views of Tavistock. Great video, new subscriber ❤️
Very nice English city (except the weather :)). Excellent editing of the video, it was interesting to watch it. Please do continue. Last time I was in the UK - 2011, Champions league final in London. 10 years ago. I do not know, when I can go there again. May be with my children... who knows... You refreshed my memory, tanks a lot! Good luck to you! P.S. it must be slightly more than 10k citizens in Tavistock, right? We would rather call it a rural settlement rather then a city here in Russia nowadays, but due to the demography situation, our small cites might become less and less populated... 10k might be a good number for a city in 5-10 years...
Thank you Dmitry - I hope to make a follow up video of Tavistock this summer when the weather will be better, and everything will (hopefully) be open again,
I remember you needed a strong stomach and wellies to use the gents in the Crown. Tavistock is like going into a room and forgetting why you went there, been here 30 years now and still can't remember why I came.
I will forever miss The Crown. It was a bit of a s**t hole but it was our s**t hole. Never had a bad night in there. (Well apart from one New Year’s Eve when I went and the atmosphere was really depressing) The woman taking ticket money at the door who was NEVER in a good mood. Trying to have a boogie whilst dodging glasses and beer bottles rolling across the packed dance floor. Always someone sat on the steps outside heaving their guts up. Couples nipping off to the car park opposite to have some “private time” Sitting on the church wall after it kicked out watching the fights in the square that always seemed to take place. Ahh. Sweet nostalgia 😂
The trouble with this commentator is his enormous ego. The only time we see good views of the the area is when he's standing in the way, spouting off!!! Other views last half a second each, which means we have no time to savour them. I hope he's not ever on television.
I am privileged to live in Mary Tavy - it’s wonderful.
Thanks very much Luc, very interesting!
It always rains in Tavistock!
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It always rains in Tavistock
But girl, don't they cold ya?
It pours, girl, it pours
You know it's summer in Tavistock because the rain is warmer !!
Thank you for sharing such a beauty with us,Luc!!)))
Moved here 3 years ago. Wish I had come here sooner... love Tavi, my true home
now that is a beautiful town :)
I was privileged to grow up there, and I always enjoy my return visits
awesome video - brings back many happy memories
Happy memories, the night club was the Carlton Cinema in my day, many happy Saturday mornings spent there, and in the back seat in later years!!!
So professional, Luc)
Easy to watch till the end and want more real-life stories
Well put together I’m still here 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻
Love the shout out for The Crown.
I live in the UK and I live in the town bit it's amaxing

Tavis? Tavistock?
Travis? Travis Scott?
Old saying…
There’s only three things in life you can be sure of: you’re born, you die, and it’s raining in Tavistock.
