It's a beautiful place & what a rich history. I'm so glad that the unknown Titanic child was eventually identified. Thank you for another great video. 😊

This is SO interesting thank you James. I had no idea all this existed in Melksham. It's never been on of my favourite Wiltshire towns but I have to admit that there's more to it than I thought and I will definitely be going along for a look myself. You're bringing our little towns to life. I love every second of you videos. Thank you so much for doing them. I sometimes feel that we just don't make enough of our local history.

Thankyou for reminding me of my time working in the office of The Avon Rubber Company which was my very first job. One of my duties back then was to take cheques and cash (yes.cash through the post back then) to the bank twice a day accompanied by a minder. A treat on sunny days but horrid when pouring with rain.

Really nice to start to get a feel for a place, everywhere of a certain age has got so much of interest when you start delving into it James, thanks for sharing.

I love your bite size videos in and around Wiltshire, I just wish they were a bit longer, but then they wouldn't be bite size lol!

As I film on my own this would be a step too far ?Also some are put off by longer videos-I try to focus on the facts of a area without fluffing things out-So I see your point -I just want to communicate the history of a area and my hope is some may be inspired ? Thank you for watching and your thought provoking comment 👍😊

@@jameswalksinhistory3848 They are thought provoking so much so that I am thinking of doing some of my own... not for publication but for my genealogy journey... No bells and whistles (I'm too old for all that ponsing around) but like yours, interesting facts that hopefully bring the family history alive.

That’s interesting about the titanic. I wonder how the passengers got their tickets as it appears they came from all over? A church near me at Bramshaw in the new forest also has graves for parishioners who also tragically lost their lives on that ship.

Good that the community in Melksham remembers them-As you state came from many areas onto that ship ☹
