Watch ' Namibia: From German Colony to Africa’s New Far West ' here: • Namibia: From German C...
By 2050, 30% of Bangladesh will be under water. One in three inhabitants, some 60 million people, are threatened by marine flooding. No other country in the world is so at risk from rising waters. The main culprit: global warming.
To the south, in the Ganges delta, the salt water that invades the land has disrupted the entire economy of the region. Many farmers have had to convert their rice paddies into shrimp farms, which are much less profitable. The country is also threatened from within by its gigantic rivers. The melting ice of the Himalayas and heavy monsoon rains are dangerously increasing their flow. Every year, the rivers bursts their banks and tens of thousands of homes are washed away. Every year, nearly 15,000 children drown in the rising waters.
Due to all these natural disasters, Dhaka, the capital, is facing a massive influx of climate refugees. Having lost everything, they are looking for odd jobs to survive. Korban Ali became a tricycle driver to transport people. He works 12 hours a day, seven days a week, in the hope of providing a better life for his children.
Bangladesh is also battling extreme pollution caused largely by the textile industry. Every day tons of toxic waste are released into nature. Sewage treatment plants empty their tanks loaded with carcinogenic chemicals directly into the rivers. But a new middle and upper class wants to change mentalities. The first model companies are emerging. Jahirul was educated in Australia. Now director of a ship dismantling yard, he has invested 10 million euros to be able to reprocess hazardous waste, such as asbestos, batteries and engine oils.

      You are partly right.
Many African countries are in war with each other or have civil war .
There is assumbtion the more population a country has , the more chance it has on the War front!
Russia was on the same road untill it got their Nuclear W in late 1940s.
Before that every Russian mother had 6 childen and few dogs.
Today they have average 1 child , few dogs and 1 Nuclear B per family. 😂
Unless there is an organisation that could guarantee these Asian, African and South American countries a permanent happy ending peace , they will reach Billions!

@firemedic7917, Same thing in the Philippines. Walk down the street and there's a woman hand out begging for money. 3,4,5 kids around her, one in her arms and another one in her belly. If you say " no" she has the kids follow you for 2 blocks begging money. This would happen several times every time I went downtown in Surigao City. I finally got tired and had an idea.
I had to go downtown and there was a woman like what I mentioned above. I reached into my pocket and then extended my closed fist palm down. She put out her hand and I dropped some rubbers in it. They must talk among themselves as they never approached me after that.
But one that sticks out was when I was at an ATM and the line was long, about 12 people ahead of me, ALL Filipinos. A woman came along and stood where people exited the ATM. Not once she she ask or put out her hand to the Filipinos. But when I finished and walked her hand shot out faster than a fart disappears in a hurricane.

I think considering Indians as dark skinned is actually a racist stereotype.
Indians are first of all not a homogeneous people or a single race. Indian is a nationality like American or British not an ethnic term. Get this crystal clear on your head.
Secondly Indians has a diverse widely varying range of complexions differing from region and also caste.
Indians from far Northwestern Indian Himalayas like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, some higher caste people of Punjab like Jatts, Sindhis or North Indian Brahmins are on average fair complexioned not to mention dark with some natives of Kashmir having a pure whitish, pale reddish tainted skin similar to Europeans.
Whereas in Northeastern India the natives in majority look like Chinese and have a yellowish complexion because they are indeed of Sino Tibetan origin.
South Indians on the other hand have mostly a chocolate brown to almost pitch black complexion like black people.
Height wise too, Northwestern Indians are on average very tall especially the Sikhs, Jatts of Punjab, Kashmiri people.

      @DariusMazdehan-wl9du 12 днів тому

Actually India Today is one of the largest economic powers and currently the fastest growing economy in the world under the current leadership.
Today India is completely different from what it was in 1980 when the country was closed to the global investors and economy.
Check the statistics of United Nations Development Programme, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Morgan and Stanley - they have clearly mentioned that currently only 14% of the population of India live below poverty line and in last decade 450 million Indians have been lifted out of absolute poverty. Moreover one more strong evidence is the rapidly growing middle class and the booming consumer market.
India Today has the fastest growing consumer market in the world the reason why numerous global brands have and are opening their business in India.
Even in the infrastructure case, there is a massive upgradation going on currently. You see the latest global news reports.
Boeing, Airbus have received their largest purchase orders which are also the largest in the entire history of aviation from Indian airline carrier groups like Air India, Indigo. The reason behind this, more and more number of Indians are travelling by air with more and more airports being built throughout India by the government because the domestic part of India's air transport is far larger than the international part.
Thirdly, India's recent upgradation of its railways with its new fleet of semi high speed trains like Vande Bharat and building of tunnels through mountains in Northwestern and Northeast Indian Himalayas and it's rapidly growing highway, expressway networks and bridges- the Atal sea link recently constructed connecting Mumbai to Pune over the Arabian Sea.
Lastly India recently have became successful in constructing an underwater metro railway.
