@@gamedesignerwannabeakavipe7506 Hi! I didn't cover each individual personality and the methods to get them because 1) they're explained on the wiki and 2) the game continues to add more. I'm mostly focused on showing how you can find the information, than straight up giving it all since it's prone to change! Sorry if the innate stats explanation isn't clear; every dragon SPECIES has two possible sets (A common set and a rare set) and there is no (easy) way to find these in game, so you'll HAVE to go to the wiki. Check the personality the dragon starts with, and the wiki lists the stats the dragon has. Training can be done in segments of +3, +5, and +9 to increase the stats, and the final set of stats is what determines stat-based personalities. Perfectionist, btw, seems to have undergone some change during the 9/20 update, and there is some qualifier we seem to be missing information on now. However, the rules as we know them are simply that the dragon must reach hatchling stage in under four days, and all stats (including innate) must be greater than 20. I hope this helps!
Depends on the species! Best way to figure it out is to check the wiki. For Angel Cat, you'll have to purchase the other forms when they reappear in August as the monthly dragon. For other species, some forms are random chance (such as Sleeping Fat or Six-Winged Angel), some are breeding (Like the lizards), some are location (such as the Wind Dragon).
Are special personalities unlikely even if you qualify for them? Had a hallow qualify for curious but didn’t get it and had a tattoo dragon qualify for perfectionist but didn’t get it. I know they aren’t guaranteed but I thought they’d be a high chance if you qualify
It appears to be (Though we're still gathering data) that every personality has an equal chance of occurring, as long as the dragon qualifies. So if the dragon qualifies for two personalities, it's a 50/50 chance to get either. Seems you've just gotten unlucky -- which, oof.
Elegant is do one of each +3 +5 and +9 trainings on each stat. The final stats do not have to equal 17. So on 0/0/10/30, your final stats would be 17/17/27/47.
What is the wiki search to find those tabs with the stats ? I can't find it. :/ ty for the overall explanation tho, helped me figure out what I was doing wrong ^^
On the DVC fandom wiki, each species' profile lists the possible personality and specific base stats it's eggs will start with. For example, Gourd dragons start with base stats qualifying for either quirky or adamant personalities. It's super helpful for determining which stats you should train from there on out lol
Quick question! I just started playing a couple days ago and I'm trying to get the Capable personality for my Blue Firetail dragon egg. It's going to take a lot of training and I don't want my dragon to become a hatchling before I'm able to finish, so I'm just keeping it out of the incubator and caring occasionally so it doesn't grow too quickly. However, I understand dragons will die if they don't reach hatchling before their timer ends. Is keeping it out of the incubator for a while beforehand a good idea? And if so, when should I start incubating it so that it doesn't die? I'm planning on keeping it out for at least a day but I'm not sure.
Personally, my method is to ONLY incubate, no cares. This guarantees that they'll evolve in time. I have never really messed around with other methods so I can't really recommend a good time to care/incubate if you decide not to at first. If you join the official discord people there should be able to help a bit more. That being said, I've gotten immersed (150+ points in one stat... 14 trainings in my case lol) on a Kangkang doing only incubator, so it should be plenty enough time for a capable. :3
@@Syndasch Thank you for the advice! Really helpful, I do this with almost all my special personality dragons now lol. Finally got that capable Firetail today!
Hey, I have a question. It is said that the requirement for getting sociable personality is to set the dragon as the profile dragon and open other people's profile while in square for 50 times. Can I stil get it by opening other people's profiles for more than 50 times? Edit: How do I get +3 for training tho? I never seem to get one. Thanks for the video btw. It is very helpful 😊
50+ works, yep! And you can open the same profile repeatedly. +3 is: - In focus training, hit the red - In Str only tap the balloon once - In int and agi, the timer is divided into three sections -- wait for the timer to go down to the third section before completing the training. Hope this helps!
@@Syndasch tysm for the video, I've run some trials and successfully got perfectionist and curious. Yes, all you need is 120 more points in str (from the base stat) for immersed. This comes down to about fourteen +9 trainings. This CANNOT easily be done without "Stalling" your dragon's growth. This simply means you should leave them with very low cares, so that they grow slower. You can safely leave them in incubator, do no other cares, and still have the time to get Immersed. In other words: Yes! Getting Immersed on witch is very much possible! Some people are going to tell you that you need an extra training in another stat to avoid Serious(A personality that can be received by training only one stat, and training it at least 7 times). Let me tell you now: This is not true. Qualifying for Serious will not impact the chance of receiving immersed, which, btw, is a very good 70%. Good luck!
@@SyndaschOkay what if I accidentally cared it and the care was very good also I used the pills to keep it happy but i made it sick twice and will now use the hmm/fair care option btw when it says “base stats” what does it mean I see that wiki says “train base stats as well” it confuses me
@@Luvadrianah A very good care will disqualify wild. Base stats are the stats that the dragon begins with -- these aren't visible in game, and you'll need to check the wiki for them. Some train conditions require specific final numbers (Which include the base stats) and some simply require a specific number of trainings, hence why the wiki specifies the difference.
This guide only shows how to find the resources to do the math yourself :3 Since every species of dragon has two different starting personalities, there are 400+ different math equations that need to be done. And more, as they add more dragons. You'll want to find the wiki page for the species of whatever dragon you have, and figure out what the base stats are when it starts quick-witted. Then you'll need to proceed with the math, simply ensuring that all stats end up equal. If you want capable, anyway -- the other stat based personalities (Distracted, Meticulous, etc) have different requirements, which are also listed on the wiki's personality page. Hope this helps~!
It was not my intention to explain the requirements for every single personality, but rather show where the information can be found! This is because of how rapidly they add more personalities, and making a comprehensive video every month or two would be... unrealistic, to put it mildly, haha! Perfectionist seems to have undergone some change during the 9/20 update, and there is some qualifier we seem to be missing information on now. However, the rules as we know them are simply that the dragon must reach hatchling stage in under four days, and all stats (including innate) must be greater than 20. I've seen people say that the easiest way to get perfectionist is to do 3 +9 trainings on the three stats that aren't the highest. (so, if the training page says that the Strength stat is highest, do three perfect trainings on intelligence, Focus, and Agility). This works in most cases, as 9*3=27 which is higher than 20. The Highest innate stat is almost always 20 or higher, and hence doesn't need to be raised. I don't personally use the above method, because I think doing 9 trainings for perfectionist is... overkill. You can easily knock this down to 7 or lower just by checking the innate stats and seeing how much the stats actually need to be raised. That's personal preference, though!
