We have a 340 too ❤ Love it! So funny though, no matter the floorplan, always something that is better in one than another!! Ive never seen this Reflection...very nice!!
My wife and I are planning to RV fulltime after I retire and are considering a 320MKS. I have watched several of your videos and enjoy their brevity while imparting great information and insight.
That means a lot, thank you! We try to show some real life, but we are trying to think through what has helped us get started. Good luck on your journey!
23:53 We just purchased a 2024 320MKS, ours is slightly different from yours but great info for us newbies! I will be following and thanks for such informative videos! (Your fur babies are too cute!!)
Oh nice!! I have had eyes on the rear living 337 rigs, but if I go to the trouble of trading rigs, it better serve a purpose. 😂 Our Reflection has been great though. Enjoy your journey!! ☺️
Love this review. My wife and I were checking out this model and liked it for many of the same reasons you mentioned in this video. We also have two Dachshund pups.
We have the Imagine TT version of your floorplan & love it very much. Now that we have the 3/4 Ton truck we are considering the Reflection or Solitude version. Although we have the smaller 10.7 cu ft Furrion frudge, we destroyed our dingle battery in the first power outage our RV park had. Because a dual battery box did not fit into out front tongue area, i installed a dual metal battery box in the front storage area eith two Lifepo4 lithium batteries & Victron solar charge controller, etc. We did not install an inverter as we only stop at harvest hists overnight & we do run our generator briefly for morning coffee, etc. We still work fulltime so it is great to use our TT as a home base for supporting 13 USFS campgrounds May to October. In winter we do eldercare in FL. Our new truck is FW prepped so now to plan, lol. Oh, dont fret about the WH being so far from the kitchen, we have the opposite issue. Our WH is beside our desk in the corner, hot water takes forever to get to our shower. We have warranty appointments on Nov 9 to fix our broken skylight the technician broke when he installed our Mar Air 2 covers, olus we have a serious gray water leak at the rear gray water tank outlet connection, but i havent pulled the basement floor down to inspect it, that is gir Lazy Days to do, lol! Cheers, Davey & Sheila
Oh my goodness. I feel your pain on these issues. Our first six months was rough with warranty issues! We have the 14 cu fridge and it is a battery killer! I know two leaf acids won’t get us through the night but we have the trusty old Westinghouse generator to stay charged. I’m considering lithium, but I’m still researching whether or not I’d have to upgrade our converter.
@@RVUntethered WFCO wanted us to discharge our Battleborns 90%, then charge them up, that didn't work so I bought a Victron 30-Amp Lifepo4 charger that does the truck. Happy to say we stayed above 67% on our overnight harvest host stays. The battery voltage never goes below 13.1 volts now.nice.
Fantastic walk-through! I was wondering about how the walk-in stairs work! WE just signed the papers today on a 2023 320MKS, and will pick it up tomorrow (I'll be sure to ask about the stairs!). We've got a trip on Wednesday to Williams, AZ, and I can hardly wait to see our best friends' face when we pull up to their home in Apple Valley with the same model they got two years ago! We are coming off having a 2006 Weekend Warrior SLC3905 toyhauler (that weighs over 16,000 DRY!), and the butt-scratchers on this rig are phenomenal. I am retired and my wife is 3 years away, so we are planning quite a few trips to come in this fantastic coach! You didn't show the tow vehicle, but we do have a 2017 Ford F350 dually that only has 25k miles on it, so towing isn't going to be an issue.
Are you referring to the steps that fold up? I’m not sure that I understand. The outside ‘solid steps’ fold up into the door, when going down the road. They are great, but there are two downfalls. One, everything on them comes inside (dirt/water). Two, we have had one situation where our campsite had a patio that was tall, so when the steps came down onto it, it pushed the stairs up so high, that we were unable to shut the door. We also pull with an F350! We are hoping to see Arizona, before the end of the year. That will be SO fun!
@@RVUntethered Yes...we've got the MorRyde steps that fold up the steps themselves. If you take the time to rotate them, you can get water and debris off before they fold up into the doorway. But tough if you're parked close to obstacles on the camp side. You never mentioned the model year of your 320MKS, but I'm assuming it was a 2023 like ours? We've been planning our first big trip for a few months now....first, Apple Valley CA to meet up with our 320MKS friends, then Williams AZ, Albuquerque NM, Amarillo TX, Choctaw, OK, 2 nights at friends in Mt Ida AR (2 nights), then a night in Memphis TN, and then to our friends brother in Mayfield KY (2 nights). On the way back we go down to Biloxi MS (2 nights), New Orleans LA (2 nights), Houston TX, and then San Antonio TX (2 nights). Then off to Ft Stockton TX, Las Cruses NM, Tombstone AZ, and the last night in Quartzsite AZ before heading home to Yucaipa CA. I've done tons of upgrades and fixes to our 320MKS including a new Curt Flex Air pinbox, one that your wife will love is the full height LED motion lighting in the pantry, (had to change out the motion dectector- the stock fixture will not handle the addl load) and LED lighting in the basement ceiling to replace those obnoxious wall mounted lights that shine in your face at night. Also put all new electric dump valves on all 3 tanks, and underbelly lighting fed off the exterior step lights. I also modified the basement storage bin on the camp side to house all my tools, and added a air compressor that has outlets on each side of the coach and a 50ft hose reel. We also got with the 320MKS the 370w solar panels with the 50amp controller (waiting to get lithium batts). Upgraded to the MicroAir AC Hvac controller, added cubbies for phone and water bottle storage next to the King Side Bed, and added a partition to the cabinet above the kitchen slide to add an additional shelf.
We’ve had two travel trailers and a fifth wheel. It comes down to your needs and the floor plan that fits but for us the fifth wheel works best for us. It’s easier on the driver in our opinion but you do lose valuable truck bed space. The class A rigs are nice but we’d likely end up towing a car anyway and there are some major cost differences. It took us a few to find what we think is the perfect fit for us.
Great Video! This RV is certainly on our short list of contenders.Although we had hoped to get something smaller and lighter since we intend to do a lot of travel in the west which of course will include many steep mountain passes. You said you love how this RV tows, do you mind telling me what truck you pull it with? 3/4 or 1 ton, Deisel or Gas and if you have pulled over western US mountains how that experience was? Lastly I would assume that this size RV limits your access to most National and State Parks. What is your thought about that? Looking forward to watching more of your Videos Travel Safe Craig and Donna Chasing Our Retirement Dream
We have an F350 7.3 gas. We haven’t been further West of New Mexico, but we did run through the Western portion of WV and NC, which had some steep inclines. Power has NOT been an issue for us, up or down the mountains. Angela feels much better pulling this rig than our previous, so that means a lot to us. We may not be the best resource for state and national parks, although we promised to be braver and do more this year, we haven’t. Some we have had no problems and others, we were too scared to try them. 😬 I think the main thing is watching your reviews, double checking your rv-safe routing and Google Earth. I hope this helps. Good luck on your search! Thanks for watching!
Hey there guys. I really enjoy the videos!! Hope you guys are doing well. I have a question. So we do a lot of Amazon. What do you guys do to get deliveries?
Hey! We haven’t seen you in a while! Up for some karaoke? Ha! We USUALLY have a better idea of where we are going in advance and we have it sent to the campground (with permission..but most are cool). We also have the Escapees program where they hold your mail until you request it, so that is also an option if we aren’t sure where to send it. The downfall to that on packages, is that you pay shipping twice. But it is an option in an urgent situation.
No issues, per se. It IS different. The only issue that we have with it, is that it is tough to see if someone is at the door and the lighting is a bit dark in the camper for filming. If you aren’t filming and like your shades open, there is still quite a bit of light that comes into the camper.
We have the standard Solar that came on it, which was 337w (I think)! With the larger battery and inverter that we added after that video, it gets us a little bit of time.
What size and type of batteries are you using and how much Solar do you have? Does Solar seem to run the fridge ok during the day while charging the batteries or are you typically running generator for several hours a day (dry camping). Also what are you pulling the rv with?
We tow with a 2022 F350 7.3L gas truck. We have two 100 AH lead acid batteries. We have one, 360w Furion solar panel. Assuming we have full sun, the solar will keep the batteries topped off all day. But, the fridge drains the batteries way too much overnight, so we usually run the generator overnight. The exception is a late stop overnight and early start (maybe 6-8 hrs of darkness, assuming it’s at 100% at bedtime. With that said, we love the 12v fridge due to consistent temperatures and we had so many issues with our Norcold, that we would NOT go back. If you boondock a lot, the fridge is absolutely something to take into consideration.
We have weighed to make sure that we are not over gross, but admittedly, we have not measured the pin weight. We are WAY under where we thought we would be. We ARE working on that now though and we will report it.
@@RVUntethered I made up a way to easily measure our pin weight by adding a pressure gage to a bottle jack. It was much more than I estimated, 2750lbs.
We pulled it with an F350 7.3L gas truck for almost three years and then just recently got a diesel Ram 3500 dually, in the event that we want to upgrade RVs. Both did great! I did get the bigger rear end gears on both trucks though, which in my opinion is extremely important. You may lose some fuel mileage that way, but when you hear someone complaining about not having enough power, or spinning out when they SHOULD be able to pull something, it is often because they didn't know there were different rear end options and chose a truck with better fuel economy, versus power. This is my opinion of course. I'm not one to promote my videos to answer a question, but if you're interested, I did dig in a bit about that in this video below.
