Julia, thank you for sharing this beautiful technique. May I ask, what kind of template do you use to draw the pattern on your surfaces? in this case, your plate. You show the pattern already drawn. Thanks.
Hi Patty. Thanks for your feedback. I actually just draw my patterns freehand...just anything that comes to mind. But you can print many patterns from the Internet if you wanted, and you can trace these on, as long as they are not copyrighted. Hope this helps.xx
Hi!! I buy plain liquid wax that you can get from any pottery supplier. I then add my pigments. You can use any oxide or even underglaze if you wanted. I prefer oxides, and I normally use a mix of cobalt oxide, coppper oxide and manganese dioxide. But if you want pure black then use black iron oxide. The mix is approx 1 part of cobalt, 2 parts copper and 2 parts manganese and after adding water to make it into a paste, you add the same amount of wax again... but trial and error will get you the exact finish you want. Hope this helps.xx

Muy linda técnica ,que pinturas usa, acrílicos ,se sella gracias abrazos
Hi. The paints are actually glazes for ceramics. They fire in a kiln at 1260C. Once they are fired they are sealed. 🥰
the color you apply is the color after firing and which glaze you use the resist no problem
is it normal glaze you use or pigmented extra?
Hello do you offer classes online please ?
What is a black wax? Do you mix the wax with something?
