Ok so I got this shoe in hand yesterday. What I don’t quite understand is why reviewers keep comparing this to a SB or reimagined sneaker? It’s not either one of those things. Jordan brand told us last year that they were bringing the OG shape back which is what everyone wanted. This is a retro GR. The shoe looks great and is true to the OG. I understand QC issues with 1M pairs being made but if you can grab a pair without that, this shoe is amazing.
Well starting with the SB (I think) all the J4s going forward would have the OG shape. And they would also have SOME comfort elements from the SB. So the SB is kind of measuring stick for the J4 going forward. The bred reimagined were the first non SB (again I think) to come out with the new tech/shape implemented. Lol. Just wanted to hammer the point home, that it's off white. I understand a lot of people wanted pure white, but it's true to the OG 🤷🏾♂️. Appreciate the comment 🙏🏿
Great review! The 2006 retro was the same color as the 2024’s, and 89’s. A lot of these other reviewers, and consumers were not buying shoes then. People hated them then, and they went on the sales racks. It’s crazy to see the “standard” is the 2012 retro, but those were the wrong colors and fucked up smh lol
It's interesting, but the military blue is never a shoe I think I've seen in person before this release. Not in resale shops and not on anyone's foot. Most of what I've been seeing is everyone basically asking for the 2012 with Nike Air on the back. But for me, I'm ALL in on the OG specs. Man people stay complaining 😅 the off white upper makes the shoe way more wearable and the shape on point. The only issue on this shoe is the insole but that's an easy fix. Swap it out
People definitely seemed to be disappointed at first glance. I've worn them twice since then and I love them. Off white definitely was the better decision back in 89 and now. Of you need a pure white upper, you can go with the fire red or the white cement. Appreciate the comment and hope you stick around for more content 🙏🏿

I had these in 89, yes I'm old lol but I don't remember the upper being off white/bluish I remember it being straight white.

So now I'm embarrassed because I totally dropped the ball. I did not cover sizing on this video. The quick story is I used to wear a sz11. Got more comfortable wearing a 10.5. 10.5 in the Bred reimagined were a little tight, so I got an 11 in these and they are much more comfortable. Could also have to do with some of the SB technology, but either way, half size up works for me. Appreciate the comment and hope you stick around for more content 🙏🏿
I have the Jordan 4 Bred reimagined in size 10. Do you recommend that I buy military blue in the same size?
Yeah I dropped the ball not mentioning sizing this time around. I used to wear a size 11, but found myself being more comfortable in a 10.5 in most my shoes. I wore the bred reimagined in a 10.5 and they were a tad uncomfortable. Bought these in an 11 and they are much better. I decided from here on out, I'll be going up half size in 4s. Hope this helps. Yeah I figured as much. As soon as I did the on foot portion of the video, I saw that toe box wrinkle right up. I've got crease protectors (link in description) so I'll see if they hold up

Yeah I'm pretty straight laced when it comes to most 4s. Sometimes when I do a laceswap though, I'll leave them loose and untied through the wing tip. Just all depends! Appreciate the comment and hope you stick around for more content 🙏🏿
I was excited for this release but the show drop pair I got had terrible quality. Sent them back… not sure if I should try the raffle again on May 4.
Yeah I been hearing about that, that's why I mentioned it. Only thing is I'm not sure if this initial run of shock drop was the QC batch, or will the final release have the same. Low key, the off white upper is killing the vibe in my opinion. The bleeding blue illusion is bothering. Moreover, white socks don't blend with these shoe.
NGL, I mostly agree with all three points. I wouldn't say its killing the vibe, but it's definitely off putting. And I whole heartedly agree with the white sock comment. I didn't realize how bad they looked until I saw them on camera. (Which is why I do on foot looks). I started looking for alternative colored socks, so I'll have to figure that one out. @chengyulee8 "bad" might have been too strong of a word. But pure white socks definitely show a contrast with the OFF White colorway. It can make the shoes look dingy in certain light. Don't get me wrong, Military Blues are LEGENDARY! But perhaps a gray or even blue sock, (depending on the outfit) might be a better look IMO. @@chengyulee8 If you put a white Nike sock next to it, you will immediately see the difference. It doesn't blend well. If you don't, its most likely because your color blind. But I am no doctor.
