Jeremy, you're certainly not that guy. I'm glad you're not a professional photographer. If you were, you'd probably be the _only_ employed nature photographer from North America.
Seriously Jeremy, your work is amazing. I don't even know what else to say - except that I have to read the credits to tell your shots from Andrew's.
Les
I could have watched 10 more minutes of the slideshow at the end. The music/backgrounds sounds coupled with the images were pure majesty. Thank you!
Yes.
Agree !!!
This series is easily your best ever. What a magical finish!
Someone below described this video as "exploring the indescribable
majesty of God's creation", and not only do I think it describes your programmes, but overlanding as a whole. I really think that this series has seen you back at your very best. You really have recaptured the magic that made your Angola trip to discover the source of the Okavango so magical, and expanded on it. This to me is overlanding. The vehicles are just the fantastic by-product which allows us to reach the amazing places that few ever get to see. Thanks for the videos Andrew, they brought a tear to my eye.
Absolutely beautiful! This reminds me of an overland safari from Nairobi to Lake Turkana and back. On our return journey we drove thru the Chalbi Desert on our way to Marsabit and on to Isiolo in the Kenyan Rift Valley. In the midst of this vast desolate land we set up camp for the night. As the moon arose around 2:30 am the Kenyan Savannah sparkled as though we had entered a diamond mine with a clear yet star filled sky. A rare view of Mars could be seen using binoculars! We took turns to protect our camp from wild game and Somali Shiftas! As the moon started to set around 4:20 am we were fortunate to have a most spectacular sunrise. A sunrise and a moonset all in one glimpse! Truly a once in a life time experience. Africa, is truly a blessing on this planet!.
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you. I am inspired and I also overwhelmingly miss Africa. I want to go back, back to my Africa.
Andrew, that final group of stills evoke a sense of sadness or loss, as if you don't expect to pass that way again. Let's all hope that isn't the case.
Been a subscriber for some time, but I must say your cinematography and storytelling are truly amazing. One of the small number of true artists on UA-cam. Thanks.
Been on Kubu Island in 2015 - your video and stills brought me back to this indeed magical place! Thank you
Oh! my goodness!!! These were the best photo's and video. You did awesome! Enjoyed it all........Brian,
Oom well just amazing! Like you said in one of the episodes "how can you describe this". Whilst I enjoy you building the trucks, you do it for a reason, and reason is to experience this. Oom thank you, Baie dankie for taking us with you to enjoy such a beautiful setting.
Andrew, you must release the last ten minutes as a stand-alone video; a great example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Have been watching on a loop at work, can’t get enough of that song with yours and Jeremy’s photos, just inspiring.
Maybe it was three minutes...
Wow! I binge watch the whole Wild Africa series and it was fantastic. Your visuals are amazing. You guys are great photographers! lol. Thanks again.
One of the best series in the world, this entire Africa series took my breath away, please keep on doing this Andrew you are so amazing at it. I now feel obliged to pledge on patron
Patreon makes these possible. Without it, I assure you, they couldn't. And the more I get, the more trips I can do. Close to 90% of Patreon funding goes into shoots. The balance goes to camera equipment for those shoots.
Your love and passion for Lekubu Island and the Makgadikgadi Pans really came through in your narrative. Your love for Africa came out in the photos you and Jeramy share at the end of the video. Looking forward to the stories from the cutting room floor!
Brilliant shooting Andrew and Jeremy. This and the previous episode with the elephants were my favorites. Seeing the pictures and videos it bought up a quote from Ansel Adams - "Shooting with intent"..meaning capturing the emotion that you feel in a scene rather than just document. Your pictures and videos take us through the emotional journey. The choice of music is just spot on. Brilliant stuff. I have so much to learn. Keep up the good work mates!!
I have a bittersweet feeling finishing this African series. Bitter couse Im siting ir small squer, room in small northest europien country, far from these wonders. Sweet because I loved it, every second of it, and small viruslike idea creeps in my mind, "maybe one day..."! Thank you Andrew!
Stunning... absolutely stunning. I have been waiting patiently for this episode. It did not disappoint.
Absolutely spectacular. This is what overlanding is all about for me - exploring the indescribable majesty of God's creation. Seeing things and places few others get to see. Thanks for sharing these magnificent images with us.
Absolutely fantastic, thanks for posting.
I did not expect that "the end" so early... eager for more! Excellent my dear friend!!!
Thanks a lot!
Watching the moonrise over the Boa babs made me muse how many of those has that tree seen? Andrew is right that Africa isn't all about the animals.
Absolutely amazing Andrew, thank you for for allowing us to bring you and your many art forms into our lives through your videos.
Wow wow wow. Andrew this last one was magic. Entire series as well. Typing here from Twee Rivieren after me and the wife did entire Kgalagadi mostly Bots side for the last 3 weeks. Congrats on another great episode and hoping for many more
That place does have a unique and unusual beauty. Hey Jeramy. Wow, Andrew, it was like, all of a sudden, it ended! Absolutely excellent!
One of the best places to camp and enjoy the peace and quiet
Thank you for a most wonderful serie. Using still images to allow the viewer to appreciate the beauty in a situation - you should do that more often. They make a great addition to storytelling.
What an amazing adventure. Stunning from beginning to end. Thank you.
So Andrew and Jeremy do we call you the light wispers, well done good to see the southern cross in there too the great sky's of the southern hemisphere.
Beautiful! Thank you for taking us along for the ride.
Again a fantastic episode, this one I already watched
twice. The different choice of classical music really puts the right emotion in
place.Overall I love you're work with the mix between 4x4 technical information and pure beauty of mother
nature. Well done!
Absolutely stellar photography, this is easily one your most visually stunning pieces of work, very well done.
Andrew you have set the destinations for our next trip to Africa - fantastic images! Thanks to you and Jeremy - wonderful work.
Wonderful episode. Enjoyed following along your planning process for the moon shots. The stills at the end were stunning. Thanks as always for bringing us along.
loved this episode very much.......
I can only go to places like this through you and your channel. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us less fortunate fellows. See you on the trails, George.
This will be an episode I will watch again and again. What magnificent images Andrew......Thank you so very much for sharing your work:D
Loved this series. Sad to see it end, but now at least I can binge watch it all over again :-)
I've enjoyed every one of these episodes of Wild Africa. I get so immersed in the experience that when an episode ends, it's a bit of a jolt back to this reality. Judging by the comments here, the experience is similar for many of us and shows what an accomplished person you are. Many thanks.
Beautiful video, nice images and informative regarding the history. Regarding places that stirred the soul, for me it’s the Simpson desert, no place on earth makes me feel peaceful.
Wow! Just stunning clips and images you've shared here. Thank you!
And to Jeremy ... I’m studying art practice/fine art with an emphasis on photography and I can definitely tell you photography could be your second calling if you wanted it to be. Excellent work!
Wow love those shots of moon 🌙🌚
Absolutely, inspiring
The colours and textures AMAZING.
What else can I say about this but Bravo? 👏 so wonderfully put together I truly loved every episode of this series. I think this was worth several cups of coffee and a coke! as soon as I figure out this Patreon thing :)
Fabulous photography, so melancholy absolutely wonderful!.
What an awesome series. Thank you Andrew. This last episode was breathtaking. Bravo.
I never comment on UA-cam clips. This time I had to.
Abosolutly stunning shots, favourite close elephants eye, Jeramey James well done
Amazing series.
Truly inspiring stuff guys. Thanks for sharing. Be hard to top this series Andrew.
Amazing finish to the series. Loved watching this one. Happy you were able to return through Botswana. I wish you had both been able to see the moon rise over the Pans. I've seen it a few times so red I had to check my watch to make sure it wasn't the sun rising already. It's magic sleeping out on the Pans. Not another sleep like it. Totally alone. Haunting.
Well done everyone...!!! We can not wait for the next expedition.
Wow great wild photos 👍
Absolutely amazing photography and subjects.
Amazing Andrew, thank you....
Thank you, what a wonderful series.
The last few minutes of this video was breathtakingly beautiful and my favorite part of this series. What is the song playing at the end?

Hey that song you playing during the display of the pictures and in episode 10 during drone shots is so emotional and makes me love your work even more. Thanks to you i love and appreciate my country Botswana more. Can you share the name of the song. And when are you coming back for another expedition of Botswana?
I had just woken up in Kapiri Mposhi- Zambia for my journey back to Kenya from South Africa then this popped up but I didn't have time to watch. So now I am enjoying my breakfast with earphones & one hand on the cup of coffee while the other one is holding a huge piece of sweet potato

Andrew, do you still like the Osmo thingie? Seems like a great "quick cam."
Simply magic !!
@Jeremy James is a great Photographer as are you Andrew, the Fact that you and Jeremy are out there capturing the images the way you perceive them makes you both photographers/photo journalist etc. excellent work again Andrew... I do have one suggest check out PhotoPills App it is an amazing tool for locating constellations, sun and moon rise etc.
Excellent way to end it.
Very Beautiful. Can you pls share the track ..
Beautiful.
Perfect !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent stuff. Andrew look at a phone app called PhotoPills. Great for preplanning moon and star photos plus lots more.
andrew, you should check out the VR/AR app SKY VIEW LITE. with it you know where sky objects are ..
Amazing!
Wonderful
13:14 what was that other solo white star to the right of the moon - Venus? Or another star only visible at certain times
Fantastic thanks Andrew. Question, do you know about what age are those magnificent trees on Lekubu ??, they just look so ancient. Thanks for your efforts and posting, cheers.
The large ones are over 1000 years old.
@@4xoverland that is just incredibly awesome and staggering thanks Andrew, much appreciated !!.
Fewer than 1 in 10 subscribers have viewed this. The rest don't know what they've missed.
“It’s always better with family.”
what are the (presumably birds)birds that to my uneducated ear sound like Hyena,s? Amazing immages there your love for the place come through.I dont know what is about 4wds that make some people wnat to drive all over everything they come across
The Jackal's call is what you are hearing.
@@4xoverland vociferous little buggers!
‘Awesome’, ‘wow’ - overused superalatives that don’t do these images justice. But ‘wow’ - thanks for sharing.
amazing shots, thank you for sharing! what is the animal that we hear towards the end of the video
jackal
@@4xoverland Oh my! what an anoying sound! thank you Andrew.
@@jpjerome Annoying? Its enchanting, evocative, and I can't get enough of it. I just sat at my fire and listened for about half an hour. Its pure magic.
@@4xoverland probably because i am not used to its presence or the reason for it yelling or howling, to me it just sounds like an animal complaint, not sure if its fighting or hunting... You Sir have the advantage of being acustomed to it and find pleasure in its calling. Please do not see anything negative in my comment, it is first impression of an unknow sound for a city dweler ;)
@@jpjerome I did not see anything negative in your comment. I just expressed how the sound made me feel. Nothing more. Sorry if it didn't come across that way.
Hi Andrew. Beautiful for sure! Are all those trees dead of a lack of water?
Salt Pans.
The baobabs are alive.
They are living trees.
Very alive and even baring fruit
@@4xoverland Andrew, thanks for the reply. I did some research on Google on this tree but from what I've found, the Baobabs trees are dying in Africa? All the info I see on dead Baobabs trees look like the ones in your video. I'm intrigued by the plant life in other areas and this tree has be confused, especially with the replies to my comment that the trees are indeed alive but this is in conflict with the pictures of dead Baobabs trees I'm seeing on google. You seem very knowledgeable abut the land in Africa so any additional info to help me understand why the trees look dead but are indeed alive would be much appreciated. No worries if you don't reply though! Thanks.
Doesn’t your GPS show a moonrise time?
Mine does, but the one in this truck wasn't very good. In fact, I didn't use it at all in Botswana.
