People act like Mathews draw cycles are tough and harsh… stooop, lol. Harsh was a Pse omen that shot 370fps with a 5” bh. That wanted to tear your arm off. This is not harsh. It might load up quick or dump fast into the valley and not be as linear/smooth as some others but it is not harsh.
It seems slower than the phase 4. If I’m not mistaken you got 280 with a 28 inch draw out of the phase 4. The lift was 282 with a 28.5 draw. Am I missing something?
Just got into bow hunting last year so I’m still shooting my Bear species but I definitely wanna get a bow of this caliber in the next year or two. Like these reviews 👍🏻
I got a matthews mission switch quad bow for my first bow I bought a about a month ago. It's my only bow so far I would not know if its good or not lol.
I’m glad you commented! I thought you already had the bow and then it was returned to my residence! I apologize very much and havnt forgotten about you it’ll be shipped again next week!!
@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors If you must use FedEx, they will not deliver to P.O. Boxes. If this was the reason for the return I emailed my home shipping address to you. Thank you
That draw cycle looks something wicked fierce. Any hunter knows a stiff draw ain’t good in certain situations. It’s lighter and that’s good for hauling around. But I would just load up weight anyways on front and rear stabs. To me the hype is real hype. More sizzle than steak.
I shoot an old solocam which is smooth as butter. I shot the LIFT 29/70 and don't see anything fierce about it at all. Different but nothing uncomfortable at all.
All Mathews have that hard dump into the Valley to me. That’s why I never wanted any of the newer bows. The VXR was the worst. Everything else is great, very dead, quiet, holds on target fantastic.
It’s definitely improved from the triax man. Switchweight cams, scs system, pass through riser design for your sight, it weighs less for sure, triax was 4.46lbs and the lift is sub 4lbs, and it’s definitely quieter and more vibe free.
@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors yeah, but this is the only way to know if the bowmakers are lying about their numbers... And it is a standard to be able to compare all bows 👍
I shot the Alpha and the LIFT. It's just fan preference at this point and all I've shot is Mathews since the Outback. Only thing pushing me to the lift are the switch weight mods right now.... and resale
I see the 33 in my future also love they are offering them in the original bottomland camo pattern
The grip has not changed for MANY years. The cam is all new. The mods are all new. The riser is quite a bit lighter than previous one.
You should see if they’ll let you walk out with that Pearson Cougar to your left in the target range. Great recurve bows.

I have the lift 29.5 the draw cycle on it in my opinion is smooth as butter 🧈

@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors thanks. Interesting release. It looks very much like my stainless steel UV.
And yes, it is a very loaded pole until you get to the back.
Thanks for letting me win the Bear bow in your previous giveaway.

Looks a lot like my new bow right there!
You need to shoot through the center of the chronograph to get the most accurate reading. Not through the very top under the light.

The draw cycle is definitely wicked fierce, and it is NOT for the faint of heart. Hit the gym if you can’t pull it Sally.

is there anything better out there ?

I don't see enough good changes/improvments to upgrade from my Triax?

Was hoping you were gonna try that 80# mod lol
Brace is 6 and a half
Why is nobody on yt testing IBO speed? 😄
Because I think the ibo speed is as fake as fairy dust lol

Guess I better get a better job.
It wont be any good next year
Hoyt all day 😂
