    Kelly, your videos were the first I watched on UA-cam 3 years ago. I knew nothing about weaving. I now own a rigid heddle loom, inkling loom and a 36” 8 shaft floor loom. Weaving is my happy place, especially now.

    Kelly, I find your videos to be so helpful and informative. You mentioned that your husband built a yarn stand for you. I would love to have a copy of the plans. How would I go about getting them? Thank you for sharing so much valuable information with the weaving community.

    Thank you for your videos on UA-cam. Based on watching you on youtube and loving your teaching style I signed up for your teachable classes. So, you will want a nice drape. Plain weave? If plain weaving, go with the 12's. If twilling, go for the 15's.

    I looked at the specification of the David's Louet loom. It is mentionned that the shed is 5". You have mentionned that the shed on the Ashford table loom was an issue for you. How large then was the shed? I am planning to buy one Ashford table loom in the near future because I have no place for a floor loom. Thank you

    • @KellyCasanova
      @KellyCasanova  6 років тому

      I don't recall, I never measured it. It was manageable though, and there are some great slim shuttles you can get specifically for smaller sheds - my shuttles are just regular boat shuttles.

    I started with a 25" Flip but I found it too heavy and too long, so I sold it. Now I have an 8" SampleIt, a 12" AKL and a 24" Hamanaka (which is Ashford identical but has warping pegs and holes on the back). I love my AKL for its portability. Then there's my David 2. My Ashford 24" table loom is currently living with a friend. The white elephant in the room is my costliest mistake, the AVL Little Weaver, which doesn't play well with my computer and the shafts don't work properly. When I make a mistake, I make it large!

      Yes, from the dealer (at a little discount, though). I even sent it back with great expense and trouble but they said oh it's just a solenoid, we replaced it and now it's sitting there mocking me. :(

      @@KellyCasanova I sold my floor loom to a lady who, in return, loaned me her Ashford 24" rigid heddle with the old style stand with the intention of selling it if I want to buy it.. I kind of have my heart set on a 32", but if I can't get the old style stand for it, then I think I'll buy the one she loaned me.
