  • Hello World,
    This is going to be the next episode of my Poker Vlog. I played 1/3 Deep at One Eyed Jacks in Sarasota Florida. I play better than I think I have been playing the last few weeks. I attribute the better playing to extra time studying on Pokercoaching.com.

    I aint mad at the QQs fold, Ive done something like that before too, OMCs get no action lbvs, u played it right, i would have did the same thing, if he flats w/JJs he definitely woudl have flat w/AK even if it was suited more than likely, like u said gotta exploit the other players , gotta pay attention to what they do or dont do and adjust from there, ya 88s hand, I think I would have pulled the trigger on the river, a set, two pair or a straight would have raised ya bet, and he looked like a OMC too, he definitely would have pushed ya raise if he had better, I look forward to ya next vlog!!

    man the AT call is way worse than the QQ fold.
    The QQ fold it just is what it is. If you're going to make a set only to fold, why even call preflop.
    The AT line is just super strong, the limp-call, check-call, check-call, lead river on an A high board is never ever ever ever ever a bluff. Even ever. ATo is like bottom of range there, I would just snap fold all one pair hands.

  • @TheNow_Now
    @TheNow_Now 23 дні тому

    the 88 hand I think you can make an argument just folding flop. Youre hand is just too weak to continue across multiple streets and even an 8 can be bad for you.
    I also think its a bad card to bluff with, especially facing a pot size bet. Would probably only be semi bluff raising with like QTs/QJs/KTs blocking effective nuts. especially at low stakes where large bet sizings just objectively mean strength. 88 is just a bit too strong and even 78s has some terrible reverse implied odds vs KQ there. Also, your opponent should be betting KQ there at some frequency especially with backdoor flush draws, drawing to the nuts.

  • @charlesfriebis7954
    @charlesfriebis7954 23 дні тому

    GTO becomes more effectively when the villain does not play GTO. Playing the best GTO ranges, calls and folds will be most profitable when others are just playing random strategy. GTO when you play against other GTO opponents and that is when you need to find exploits. After saying that, being exploitative and folding a set when it is beat is the best way to minimize losing a major cooler.

    I would love to see the life time earnings of the people telling you everything you did "wrong" in this session. I've watched enough of your videos to know you understand the game and you have good instincts. No one is going to win every hand. The key to longevity in this game is picking and choosing your battles. I've been at enough tables to come across the old guy drinking coffee who only plays big hands. Even if he only had AK on that hand where you hit the set with Q's there was still another card to come and it could just have easily been an A or a K to blow you out of the water. You made a decision and quite honestly it was probably the right one. These people telling you that you did anything wrong are most likely just talking out of the side of their mouths and don't actually win consistently at this game.

    Stack sizes? It's impossible to understand proper bet sizings without knowing stacks.
    88: "I bet because I have the range advantage, wit no thought for opponent's likely range." QQ: "I fold based on opponent's likely range." Which is it? Seems like you are just rationalizing your actions after the fact. In the 88 hand, it was obvious to me that villain had an overpair. In the QQ hand, villain could easily have had AK. OMCs are not limited to exactly AA or KK. Any combo of those two cards are good enough usually, and then they continue when the flop hits them. When they have the nuts they usually also size up their bets, which he did not do. I definitely continue for less than 1/3p.
    Second 88: This was crazy. Villain range bet flop and then polarized turn. You should not even be thinking about "this card is better for me than villain" after that bet. Vs low limit players, IMO, you should be thinking little more than "what does this bet mean?" To me it means, he hit the straight, a set or 2pr. 88 into the muck. Although the exact range was off, villain's hand was still way ahead of yours.
