Spray oud wood intense on you and hide for at least 2 or 3 hrs. Then everything is just gonna be fine. Because the mid and dry down note of this perfume is amazing.
Great review, guys. I agree with the name, at least, being a money grab, as this isn't that similar to the original Oud Wood, but I find it to be a very good fragrance, a mix of oud, woods, and that leather note that you mention, along with a resinous vibe, though not nearly as resinous as Tobacco Oud Intense. I was able to nab a bottle at a good price, so I jumped at the opportunity, despite being one of the few men who isn't a huge Oud Wood fan (I've a decant and several bottles of the Dua inspired expression, Bois Oudh, which certainly suffices for me), but again, this make sense as the fragrances aren't that similar. Even with Bois Marocain's re-release at $330 for 50ml, it was arguably Neroli Portofino Forte, originally at $290, that started setting up the higher pricing. Then, it was bumped up to $310 along with the recent releases of Tobacco Oud Intense, Oud Wood Intense, and Fucking Fabulous. I'm not sure if this is to prepare the market for EVERY fragrance in the Private Blend line being unceremoniously increased to over $300 but it wouldn't surprise me. Or perhaps just every new release from this point forward will be $310 or higher and the rest will increase gradually. Who knows what they're cooking up... Regardless, well covered, gents! -ER
