Yep like a bit of Uriah Heep , have not heard this for an age ! the beginning of this tune always reminds me of a great Newcastle band "Lindisfarne " (named after the Holy Island of the same name ) a great track to try is Lady Eleanor , or Fog on the Tyne . Cheers for another trip down memory lane !
A pretty solid track. I do have a Heep album on vinyl (not sure which, wizards and something), and I've heard this song a ton. It used to be my scene, and I can still enjoy it. Always a pleasure guys.
My God! I remember this from the earliest days of progressive rock. Not sure if this is from the band's third or fourth album. There were great tracks on Very 'Eavy Very 'Unble (first alum) and Salisbury (second). None of which were chart toppers. Must remember to thank a former brother-in-law for playing those tunes.
Heep fan since 1970. Typically Heep songs of Byron era (1970 - 76): The Wizard; Time To Live; Circle Of Hands; Weep In Silence; Wonderworld & Echoes In The Dark. Heavy songs: Shadows Of Grief & Look At Yourself. Ballads: Why Did You Go; Your Turn To Remember; Rain & Lady In Black. All of them are highly recommended :)
This is very typical of the time, but not what i was exposed to back then. The organ, the guitar, so good. You know, to be honest, the only song of theirs i actually had heard was Free Me, till of all people, my son started to play their stuff!
Howdy, you two: "I done the rancher's daughter." Apart from that, Uriah Heep was a Christian band. I really put myself out there in a comment on the 'Lady In Black' video and got no response at all. Considering the content of the comment, the choice to avoid it made me think...
Great selection, my favorite Uriah Heep song. Thanks for the reaction! 😊
I never got into this band back in the day, but they were always a good group.

Yes, and “Lady Eleanor” is the place to start. Lindisfarne was another under appreciated folk rock band.

Way way more soothing than Robyn, if only I had listened to Uriah heeps lyrics, great band, top marks 🏴✌️

Great Review. the bass player Gary Thain came from christchurch new zealand
A classic song from them, still good. Look out to some of David Byrons' (the singer) solo/band work.

Not necessarily avoiding the comment on purpose but we also don't want to have religious discussions in our comment section
