THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! Tremendously helpful. The owner's manuals didn't have any of this comprehensive information. I have a Super Tech and couldn't figure out any of the controls until this video. You're awesome!
Thank you for the video. I could not find any information elsewhere about the fob - thanks for that. In my case, you really need to hold it in place at that exact spot. The gas backsplash comment was also welcome; it is a serious issue.
Marvellous, thank you. I'd bought one second hand and the dealer he bought it from was unintelligible. This clip has explained to me what a "master key" is and the previous owner (who bought it new and generally did not use it) has misplaced it and I am not pleased.
When the fuel light comes on you can put exactly 1.5 gallons of fuel in. When mine goes off, I take a mental note of the mileage. For every additional 7 miles you can put in an extra 1/10 gallon. I find this easier than trying to look down the filler hole to guess when it is getting full. It also helps with the over fill gush.
I tend to fill up at the same garage every time and none of their pumps splash fuel out when full. I have had Vespa GTS’s for over ten years now and when I am away from home sometimes I have been caught out with this over spill thing. The last two I have owned have been HPE models and I have had a sump with a sight glass fitted. Well worth it as it saves constantly checking the oil with that fiddly dip stick. Another tip is replace the dip stick with a good anodised aluminum one. Much better than the bendy plastick original and easier to seat. Cheers, good riding.
Okay, I'm convinced. Definitely do not want one. I'd much rather find an old Vespa that has been grandfathered in and pay the outrageous price that it would bring.
@@thescooterlounge I understand that the old version of the Vespa, with the 2 cycle engine and the gear shift twist on the left handlebar, are still being manufactured but the EPA won't let them be imported. The ones already here when that ruling was made could stay. That is what the expression "grandfathered" means.

Edit. Oh, you meant the keyless fob is $300 to replace?
@@rossydv 160 for the fob and the another 120 for the labour to program the fob. This is in Canadian dollars so less in US and Europe

What do you mean by “grandfathered in”?
