People can die of hyperthermia in under 15 minutes and they were lying in under -2 waters. The likelihood is, Jack was already dead. And you could say "Rose should have just moved over" but Jack could have also tried harder to get onto the door. It's easy for us to judge but both of them, freezing and injured, made bad decisions. Rose was half dead herself - she couldn't carry him and she wanted him to "rest" like if she buried him. Leaving him on the door would have felt like Rose was leaving him behind - so instead she let him float down with the Titanic. You cannot say Rose didn't love him, because it is clear it is only the promise she made with Jack that stopped her from giving up. Sorry I just love this couple a lot ❤❤
But she could again a rich guy and be happy with kids. A early resentment of 20' doesnt kill anyone. Especially when relationship foundation on cheating with. You are referring hyperthermia even intense love can be forgotten after 8 yrs

They tested it with rose and the stuntman and it kept sinking, then they thought maybe jack can put life jackets under the door, but, he would have to dive into the ice cold water (-5 celsius) and he would’ve died from hyperthermia anyways, so they left it with him hanging off the door.
As I understood, the door could not support the weight of both. But if she really loved him, she would offer to alternate being in the water or on the door. So they would be constantly on the move and both would survive until the boat arrived, right?
