This is the second time I am seeing someone using the dome foam blenders. I really can’t wait to try them. Lots of good ideas in this video. Thank you for sharing. 🤗😊
“Tim Holtz’ round dome foam tool”, say that really fast 10 times! 🤣 Thanks so much for this video Jennifer, you’re such a blessing to the crafting world and I truly appreciate you. Stay safe/warm! ❤️
your talent is just amazing. Thank you for the videos that are great instructions. I am always going back to the various videos when I want to try something, knowing you have done what I'm looking for in the past.
Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us. You are appreciated. All of your hard work does not go unnoticed. As always, you made some beautiful cards.
They are new for Ranger because, as Tim said in his "live", it was important for them to use the same foam that was used on the round ones in Tim's line. And that took some time to accomplish.
You've started me down the gel press rabbit hole and I am in LOVE. I am gel pressing all the things! Amazing the variegated colors you can get... Thanks as always for the inspiration ❤️
Thank you for such a great video! I love the easel cards and now I want to try making one or more. It always amazes me with the things that you show everyone how to do in your videos, plus all of the little tricks and tips that you give us. You are a good and amazing person. Thank you for your hard work.
Jennifer, thank you for taking the time to share your ideas, and techniques. I really appreciate it, and I look forward to trying them. beautiful cards!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful spring cards. I think the domed foam will help me when blending my inks. I have never been very good at it and agree that the oxides give me the best blending results. I use more dies that any other medium for cards & birch press, poppy stamps & memory box are among my favorites! the layers dies are so detailed they really take it up a notch.
My favorite dies are flower dies. I LOVED this video! I just ordered a bunch of them from SSS during their sale. I wish this video had come out before that. 😩 Oh well. Next time.
Such beautiful cards, and as always, love your great creative ideas for using inks and die cuts here. Will be trying these techniques for sure. Thank you!
Love these techniques! I might take it one step further and put white cardstock underneath the die cuts when I brayer. Then, there will be (messy) negative outlines all over the cardstock that could be layered and used as a mixed media background. This would be an easy, "2 For." I think the outlines can overlap and go every which way, even some upside down, just to give it a random feel. Not 100% sure I will like it, but it's worth a try.
Thank you! These are all beautiful!!! And I'm looking forward to your video using those new brayers. I'm just learning about gel pressing and would like to know more about Tim Holtz brayers. Better to start off right, eh?
Your cards are beautiful ! As usual, your video is full of great advices and tips. I just would like to mention that the domed foam for the blending tools are sales for over a year by Scrapbook.com. I have already replaced all my foams for a long time.
These are beautiful! I especially like the frame easel and the basket. I noticed that you don’t use the sandwich recommended on the Spellbinders platform. I asked about that in another of your videos last week. I have a lovely intricate bird cage that I was cutting and embossing and it tore almost every time. Today I decided to try your sandwich (without the magnetic shim) and it worked beautifully. My image came out in one piece without any cracking or tearing. Thanks for sharing!
Hello! Thanks for visiting. A few added points: - For a visual supply list, head to ldli.co/e/6o50yd. - To learn more about the new Tim Holtz products, check out his recent live - it is good! ua-cam.com/video/TxqnKTH0efQ/v-deo.html - I know there are other domed foams out there - I am excited to have one from Tim as his blending tool is the original! Also, I know that he designed the foams to work well with these inks. But use whatever inking tool works for you! :) - I forgot to mention that these brayers are also great because you can remove the head for easier cleaning. - I promise to do more with the brayers and explain more in future videos. A great tool that can be used for MANY things. Enjoy! :)
Miss Jennifer have you used the stampin up Journey crease pad? I was sent one almost a year ago an I don’t know if I run it through the die machine or use it desktop with handheld creasing tools. The pad itself is less rigid than a cutting pad & not at all floppy like the one come from the spellbinders die machine @ 10:33. I’m still learning, you have taught me so much. I look forwards this art making regardless of whether It turns out a great looking card or not.
they really are all simliar. this is the one i use... www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Gel-Press-5-x-7-REUSABLE-GEL-PRINTING-PLATE-10810-10810GP?currency=USD (more will be in stock soon)
I recommend Gelli Art’s Stamping and Printing Kit. It comes with a 5x5” plate, paper, a brayer , 3 small bottles of paint, foam sheets you can make texture sheets from, and 3 design elements. Also thorough instructions. It’s between $20-25 usually. The advantage of a kit is that you have everything you need without much thought. Then you can figure out how to use all the craft/art supplies you already have on your new plate. I started off with an 8x10” plate. Let’s not talk about how many plates I have now. There are tons of UA-cam videos demonstrating all the ways you can use the plates. Both Gel Press and Gelli Arts have YT channels.
Hi Jennifer, great demos. I tried to get Tim H. Refil inking foams using the link you gave but its only for the US am in the UK!! Would like to get some but dont want to pay excess taxes/postage do you know if its available in the UK. Can i ask where you got yours please ?! TIA BK xx

Great demo for all of Tim Holtz /Ranger new release. Thanks for all the great ideas.
Glad to see Ranger/Tim Holtz finally made domed foams. Although, they're definitely not "new"; Scrapbook.com has had domed foams since 2019.
They are new for Ranger because, as Tim said in his "live", it was important for them to use the same foam that was used on the round ones in Tim's line. And that took some time to accomplish.

Love the feet on the TH brayers!
Wonderful ideas and beautiful cards, as always! I just wonder now how you will be storing your domed foams?
Because I do this for a living I have a bunch of applicator tools so I will have a tool and foam for each color.

Jennifer, you always do such a beautiful job of selecting colors how do you know what colors will blend well and not make the muddy colors?
Thanks for the great content
Great ideas!
Scrapbook.com has had domed blending foams for some time now and they are cheaper than the new Ranger domed foams
yes i was holding out for the foam from tim because i knew he would design them to work with his original tools and inks! :)
Thank you for your great ideas, here!

I am so sorry that I don't have thoughts on the crease pad as I have not used it.
I think i could use this for embellishments also
Any particular reason for using the glass mat vs the media mat? I love the brayer technique and will be trying this one.
i just use the glass for everything... except cutting
I just love this, as I have yet to get a feel press. Is there a specific gel press you recommend?

ETA: I did some researching - Gel Press brand is the original and way to go. I would stick with that - that is what I use - and the Tim Holtz brayers.
Hi Jennifer, great demos. I tried to get Tim H. Refil inking foams using the link you gave but its only for the US am in the UK!! Would like to get some but dont want to pay excess taxes/postage do you know if its available in the UK. Can i ask where you got yours please ?! TIA BK xx
I get mine at Simonsaysstamp.com .. a US company. Perhaps someone will weigh in with a UK retailer.
Lovely. Is there a difference between the scrapbook.com rounded foam forms and Tims? I've been using rounded forms for years.
I believe so. They are designed to work well with inks.
Jennifer can you tell me the tool you use to put pressure on your stamp positioner
