Walking away is the best advice! I am very hard on myself and if it’s not perfect I feel like it’s not good enough. If I walk away for an hour or so I usually can see the beauty in what I’ve created and/or come up with ideas to improve my project. Thanks for so many great tips!
I really love your approach to greeting card design. It meant so much for me to hear you say, 'use what you have.' Sometimes, I feel this compulsion to run out and buy the latest dies or stamps when I have plenty already! Thank you.
Thanks so much, Allicia! I, too, fall into that rabbit hole of purchasing everything I see and have that ‘I need it all’ syndrome! I recently purged a lot of craft items I no longer have a passion for. So, now, I promised myself to try and use what I have. Stay tuned for an upcoming video where I will be using a lot of products I already have in my stash. Thanks for watching and commenting! ♥️
I love this idea of making 4 at a time. I loved them all thank you so much for the great tips, oh the brush is a awesome idea sense I have arthritis and my hand start to hurt this would be a great help
I would never have thought of cutting layered flowers to make multiple cards. Love your designs - the cards are beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing - I have a few new things to try out.
I loved your cards and some of the suggestions . I don’t think I would be courageous enough to cut my work up into 4 separate card fronts. You did a great job. Loved all of them
Thank you for keeping the hiccups you faced when cutting and recreating your panels. It's good to see what could go wrong and how they can be fixed. GReaT idea about creating grid patterns! Thanks for sharing it all Kathya!
Your cards are stunning! This a great technique that I can’t wait to try! Thank you for sharing every step even how to fix the petals and how to be patient with ourselves as we create 😊
I love the idea of creating the flowers onto a big sheet and cutting it down! The dimension on these cards is amazing. Very little else needed. Thanks for sharing.
I love the xoxo with heart sequins...they are such a small embellishment, but has a BIG impact. I have a tip, that I should follow more...if you are so excited by some product or stamp and die set, dont buy it that day...unless you're absolutely sure you MUST HAVE it. Give it a couple of days in your cart. 1/2 the time Idk what is in the package I ordered...lol
You are SOOOO right! I have found myself actually waiting until things go on sale or clearance--then I buy in bulk at a fraction of the cost--but ONLY if it really is something I plan to use. It's so hard to hold back when there are so many amazing stamps and dies, isn't it? Thank you for watching and your kind words!
I learned a REVERSE LESSON. A year or two ago I saw a (possibly) 3.75” x 5.00” wood-mounted stamp, picturing a piece of sheet music, but with all the notes in a heap at the bottom of “the page”. I’m now like “The Gray Lady” of lore, haunting every stamp rack I come across ‘cuz I passed up that wonderful jewel. Not once, BUT TWICE!!! And I kick myself EVERY time I open my stamp storage box. 😩😫😭😢☹️🙁😕
Excellent suggestion for adding color. And when you cut those beautiful flowers? I thought “ oh, no! What is she doing?” I did not see that coming. I love your brilliant idea, though. I would have never come up with that. I’m going to have to try it out.
Im seeing these beauties 2 years after you created them. 😍 And I so glad I did...also glad this came in my feed. I cant wait to binge watch your videos. Im so hoping that you are still creating/posting now in 2023.
Wow just came across this. Idea. Subscribed. Lovely cards, techniques and showing process….thanks so so much! I e been a card maker for 60+ years and live all the newer ideas…
Hi Patricia. Yes, I make mistakes all the time. I have no issues sharing them because I learn from them and I’m happy to share how I navigate through them. Thanks for watching! 🥰
Awesome video! Thank you for passing on the information! As for the person who tap on thumbs down shame on you. These videos take time and effort to make. If the video doesn’t please you move on to the next. We are living in a time that the majority of us are looking for inspiration and a getaway to everything else that is going on around US including negative people! Appreciate the time that these crafters take to post these videos!
Aw, Marta! Your sweet words brought tears to my eyes! 😭 Thank you for that! It makes creating projects and sharing these videos worth it when I see comments like yours and all the other kind comments from viewers! I’m glad you enjoyed it! More to come! ♥️
The brush is Available on Amazon! It saddens me when people take the time to be mean or just corruptive there’s no reason for that everyone in this world is trying so hard to come together as a united nation it doesn’t matter what you do in life just know that you never know what the other person is going through and the reasons to why they’re doing what they’re doing to being mean. It will not get you anywhere but simply more of your own meanness and criticism and God bless all those who continue to live that kind of a life!
Sadly, there ARE those in this world who just are NOT happy unless they’re getting their dippers into someone else’s bucket!! Or worse yet, drilling holes in “em!!!
The cards look fab! There are some good 'hacks' in this video that I have never seen before. One panel cut 4 ways-brilliant! Also I like the idea of having an electronic blender. Thanks for sharing.
This is such wonderful tips. Thank you so much for sharing. I have the worst time blending where I am happy, the blending brush and doing it before is great.
Hi there! I don't use my T ruler enough! Loved your video. Learned a lot! Coloured cardstock & an ink pad with depth of colour created by how much ink is added is a👍tip! TFS!🙏🥰🦋
Brilliant use of the makeup brush. I will definitely be out to buy one and try this technique and no I can’t pick a favorite. I like all of your cards.
Thanks for your video. I have looked at something I did when I first started crafting and had put aside (don't like wasting) and years later have used it to make something special...got experience and confidence along the way I guess! Waste not want not! Loved the colouring technique
WOW!!! These came out gorgepus!!! I'd never think to cut my flowers up like that. But I love how they look. Such a nice job. That's a snazzy ink blending tool too. Thx for great video. Austin,TX USA
Omg! What a great job you did in this video. SOO many tips, really helpful & informative! Yes... plz showing "blunders" so helpful to see how to think outside the box. Big Kudos Sistah!
I loved your cards and the way you made them all together. I also do my blending as you did and find it really easy. Thanks for sharing your mistake as well.
I'm totally going to try this. I have some floral dies that I never know quite what to do with so they are not used. I love how you plan out the card fronts too; dividing the large sheet in 4 and then cutting through all. I am so going to try this. This is the first of your videos I've watched, and have subscribed. I think I'll learn a lot from you! Thank you!!
Can’t pick a favorite. Yes, you have several techniques thatI will try. Love the electric blending brush, and it makes so much sense to blend before cutting!
I never comment on people's videos, although I watch MANY crafty videos. However, I am so impressed with your innovative ideas, and the intelligence with which you pursue crafting, that I feel a need to comment. I watched only one of your videos before I subscribed to your channel. I like your thoughtfulness and calm demeanor as you present your innovative ideas. I look forward to seeing what you will come up with next, and I have already tried several of your ideas, including the four section grid paper. Thank you for your ideas. 😊
Gorgeous cards! Thanks for admitting you make mistakes like us amateurs, and for the tip to put our messed up cards aside and come back for a fresh look the next day!
Yes, I will try this! Excellent tips for producing more than one card at a time! Corrective lenses, Ha! I can't choose a favorite, they are all beautiful. That brush looks like a fun thing to try. Thank you for sharing!
Oh my gosh!!! I WISH I had seen this video BEFORE I had cut out around 100 floral die cuts! I have severe arthritis in my hands, so the battery operated blending brush will be a godsend! I loved the idea about walking away from a project for an hour or two (or even a day). When I return I can see the potential and beauty in my project. This video was great!
Oh, this makes me so happy to hear! Not that you suffer from arthritis (ugh!!!!), but that you discovered something that can help in the future. I also suffer from hand pain on occasion, so I was happy to find something that helps me. Glad this helped. Crafty hugs to you! 🥰
thank you so much for sharing. The idea of stepping away from your project for a while really works it has saved many of my projects from being trashed. Blessings
Very clever use of the brush, I have arthritis in my hands and find ink blending hard to do a lot of.I like the look of it ,but not the pain that goes with it. Your cards turned out beautiful. Very nice, I will try it for myself.
I totally hear you, Raeleen. Same here. I wish that craft companies would make crafting easier and more ergonomic-friendly. Cheers and thank you for watching!
Can't wait to try the spin brush. I always struggle with getting the center of flowers inked with the regular method. I have already ordered the spin brush. Thanks for the tips Ang
this is a great stamping technique. You explain every step clearly and why. I like the grids. We all make mistakes but I appreciate the way you "fix" it and enjoy the process. thank you for sharing.
Holy moley!!! I love your idea!! I have a Clarisonic Mia that I never use. This idea is so awesome! My hands after a while start to cramp and swell so this would be so helpful for days that I just don't have the hand strength. I am definitely going to try it.
I just found this wonderful technique. I LOVE these cards!!!’ They are gorgeous and elegant. I have a battery operated make up brush. I hope I can find it. Brilliant ideas!!! Thanks for sharing!!! I love them all. 💜
I wish I had seen this before last night when I stamped some flowers to color. I could have just blended the paper then cut the flowers out. I think I'm going to try it tonight
❤love these I actually like the one you messed up and added the foam tape to pop it up. Its so lovely. Thanks for sharing with us and the great idea, I am definitely going to try this process Thanks❤
I very much enjoyed your explanation of your thought process. Making 4 cards at once---Genius! I will give the pre-blending technique a try. It makes perfect sense. Hope the renovation project is going well---better yet---done.
I have a face cleaning brush motorized that I wanted totry this with. Now I am...who needs a clean face!!! This video is very inspiring and fun. Got to try the the whole process of your making the card. I also see you use Michaels card stock...they have killer colors. Thanks for the video.
Hahahaha 😂 I have a nice face cleaning brush that I recharge at night but this motorized brush in the video is very gentle and easy to hold. Yes! I truly love the colors of card stock Michaels is introducing. I need more green paper so that’s next! Thanks for the kind comment and for watching! 😘
Thank you for an awesome video. I donʻt know how you can even do this once a week with your busy schedule! I will be doing this tomorrow. I have seen people use a technique like this for 2 cards, but 4? You are genius. I canʻt wait to watch more of your videos.
I do want to try this. Thanks for sharing. Good luck with the home renovations. We are DIYers, so I totally understand trying to juggle crafting with home projects.
Beautiful cards. Thanks for leaving in the oopsies; helpful. I think I might cut the larger flowers in half using scissors, since my guillotine cutter might hesitate (user error) as it tries to go through the layers and make the edges jagged instead of smooth. I love the ink blending results and your grid system. :)
Agreed. I used this tutorial as a learning exercise. My trimmer had a hard time going through all those layers so I will adjust for next time. Thank you for watching, Sue. I love connecting with fellow crafters! ♥️
Excellent tutorial, gorgeous cards and priceless advice....always walk away instead of throw away 😊 I absolutely LOVE the way you used a grid for die cuts and gorgeous blending...in the end 😂. I have to admit it looked rather dodgy 👀 at one point but WOW you pulled it off. Just subscribed ❤
These cards are beautiful. It is definitely something I will try in the future. I frequently forget to put the card all the way into the corner. But I also use the new sentiment over the top. It works great. Thank you for sharing your tips!
Wonderful! Check out my short video, too. You can save time by layering two pieces of card stock (4 pieces of card stock, and layer so you have two pieces, then die cut two together). Saves time. Thanks for watching! 🥰
@@Lee_Lee73 I totally hear you. But when the large blending brushes came out, I couldn’t believe the cost that craft companies were charging with their branding on them. I bought non branded ones on line from makeup companies. There are some products I won’t buy from craft companies because I can find less expensive products at half the price and get the same results. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Have a beautiful day! ♥️
Hello! Thanks for your lovely cards & tips. Regarding silicone/acrylic stamps…I tested many tips, techniques & inks for using these stamps. The best thing I found was making sure I always use Ranger archival inks or Ranger dye inks. I found the results to be much smoother. (For some reason, any other conditioning method did nothing or just damaged my stamps.). Ranger archival & Dye inks changed my attitude to those lower quality stamps, some of which I really love. Thanks again!!
Wow! Wow! Wow! You are just so good at doing these kind of videos. Clear, concise and organised! Thank you for taking the time to share your tips Your ideas of how to do things easier are fabulous Will certainly be trying your suggestions. Please keep them coming
You can use a Dremel drill to do this I use the domed foam with Velcro onto a flat head works great...also modified the handle version of a blending brush to Velcro on a Dremel head works perfect...I am proficient in tools so cutting and modifying was easy
Hello Kathya. I love these cards, they’re so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your ideas and techniques and I will be trying to create these cards. I couldn’t choose just one because they’re all beautiful. 😊😊🥰
Walking away is the best advice! I am very hard on myself and if it’s not perfect I feel like it’s not good enough. If I walk away for an hour or so I usually can see the beauty in what I’ve created and/or come up with ideas to improve my project. Thanks for so many great tips!
YES!!!! I have to remind myself to walk away more times than I care to admit! 😊 Thank you for the kind comment and for watching. ♥️
That is so my experience also!
I really love your approach to greeting card design. It meant so much for me to hear you say, 'use what you have.' Sometimes, I feel this compulsion to run out and buy the latest dies or stamps when I have plenty already! Thank you.

I love that you're constantly thinking about better ways to do things! This is a cool technique!
Thanks, missy! I am terrible at shading tiny die cuts and this is a new work around for me. Hugs! 🤗 ♥️

I needed that sand eraser tip. I have stamps no matter what I do they don't stamp. It works. Thanks.
Yay! So glad it worked! 🥰
Love the idea of scoring quadrants for similar elements. Patience and persistence. Touche!

You bet. That’s how I learn, too. 🥰
Can't wait to try the spin brush. I always struggle with getting the center of flowers inked with the regular method. I have already ordered the spin brush.
Thanks for the tips
Ang
Hi Ang! You’re so welcome. I love ‘easy’ when I craft and this totally works for me. I hope you enjoy it! 🥰
You are a genius. I love your mind.
Hahahaha! That’s so funny but I’m no genius! I will tell my husband, though! 😘
I like the one with the raised sentiment
Thank you! 🥰

Thanks much! It made sense while I was setting it up. Next time, I’ll lay on the glue more heavily! 🤣
Holy moley!!! I love your idea!! I have a Clarisonic Mia that I never use. This idea is so awesome! My hands after a while start to cramp and swell so this would be so helpful for days that I just don't have the hand strength. I am definitely going to try it.

So glad you enjoyed it! I will be doing this one again soon! Stay tuned!
Thank you for an awesome video. I donʻt know how you can even do this once a week with your busy schedule! I will be doing this tomorrow. I have seen people use a technique like this for 2 cards, but 4? You are genius. I canʻt wait to watch more of your videos.

These are beautiful. I wish I could make cards so pretty.
Thank you! Well, of COURSE you can! 😍
You gave me several ideas. The leaves are a super idea.
Thanks so much and thanks for watching, too! 🥰

@@nanetter.921 Ah! Thank you for watching. I’ve been taking a bit of a summer break but will be posting a new video soon. Glad you found it helpful! 🥰
A very interesting idea for a tool. I will look for one. I can see a use for it in my tool box. Thank you!!
You are welcome! 🥰
These cards are beautiful. It is definitely something I will try in the future. I frequently forget to put the card all the way into the corner. But I also use the new sentiment over the top. It works great. Thank you for sharing your tips!
You are so welcome!💞
Fabulous idea! Beautiful and I will try this out. All the cards came out gorgeous!
Thank you so much! Let me know how it goes if you try it out! ♥️
Thanks.so much!! I've been battling with dies tearing too. Great idea that I will definitely use! 💌🌿
Just beautiful thank you
Definetly going to try this i just started using die cuts
Wonderful! Check out my short video, too. You can save time by layering two pieces of card stock (4 pieces of card stock, and layer so you have two pieces, then die cut two together). Saves time. Thanks for watching! 🥰
So true. Sometimes all I can see are the little mistakes, but the people who get my cards think they are just fab.
Exactly! We need to stop being so hard on ourselves, right? 😘
I was cracking up at your Corrective Lenses joke and that the recipient doesn't notice our mistakes! So true! Thanks for the video!
You are so welcome! And thanks for the kind comment, from the card maker who wears corrective lenses herself! 🤣
What wonderful tips and ideas. Thanks so much.
You are so welcome! 🥰
Looks fab
Could you imagine, how expensive that would be if craft companies started selling a motorized blending brush. Beautiful cards!
Now that is super helpful. Thank you so very much for sharing that tip! And thank you for watching! ♥️
Your cards are beautiful. I love that brush. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome! Good luck finding it! 😊
Wow! Wow! Wow! You are just so good at doing these kind of videos. Clear, concise and organised! Thank you for taking the time to share your tips Your ideas of how to do things easier are fabulous Will certainly be trying your suggestions. Please keep them coming
Thank You! I sure will! 🥰
Yes I will try this brush
Hope you like it! 😊
You can use a Dremel drill to do this I use the domed foam with Velcro onto a flat head works great...also modified the handle version of a blending brush to Velcro on a Dremel head works perfect...I am proficient in tools so cutting and modifying was easy
What a fantastic idea! Thank you for sharing. Do you have a UA-cam channel I could check out? ♥️
Love these cards. I plan to give this a try.
Have fun! Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
