- Wilson Fisk wasn't always the feared crime lord that he became later in life. Wilson was an unpopular and chubby kid, who was mercilessly picked on by his peers as a kid. Not partaking in the usual athletic activities of kids his age, Fisk discovered a knack for uncovering the weaknesses of others-and using them to his advantage. This proved to be a much-desired skill he'd carry into adulthood, as the criminal mastermind of New York. Wilson Fisk is ruthless, cunning, and wide-bellied, and while he lacks the superpowers of most of his foes, he does have the brains to outsmart them, at least for some time. Fisk has clashed with heroes, antiheroes, and villains alike, and has been at the center of many, if not most, wrongdoings committed in New York City. He does everything it takes to keep his grip on the New York underworld, which is why he's known as the Kingpin.
Kingpin is a famous Marvel villain who first appeared in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #50 in 1967. Fisk began gathering power in organized crime at a young age and swiftly rose to become one of New York's most influential figures. Fisk's escapades constantly brought him into confrontations with Spider-Man and Daredevil, despite the fact that he used his intelligence and clout to hide his illicit operations. This eventually led to attempts to enter politics, which attracted Matt Murdock's notice. In the comics, the two have sparred numerous times, with Kingpin ordering assassinations on Matt's pals and exposing his double life to the world. Whenever a hero has managed to apprehend Fisk, he has always managed to escape. Today we will take a look at the most powerful crime lord on earth and wade through the murky waters of his past. Vincent is the most incredible version of this villain. I adore his portrayal of this villain!
When my no comic book friends ask me about the kingpin, I ask them "if not him, then who?" Meaning somebody will fill that role regardless, Fisk was the man willing to do it, and he keeps his crime organized, instead of a chaotic mess that can lead to more death, destruction, and innocent people caught in the cross fire.
Eh, he never cared too much about innocents, more about making sure everything ran consistently and smoothly

I always imagine Kingpin is like a more powerful version of The Penguin in terms of raw strength and intelligence.

@ Eric okonwo: Others probly answered by now, but I'd say Lex Luthor is more dangerous than Kingpin. Just seeing what all Lex did in Justice League Unlimited. If they worked together without double crossing each other, they'd be a terrible pair to match wits with.

Loved Kingpin's origin explained in the 90's Spider-Man animated series. His father left him behind and he decided to ethier rot or learn which he chose plan B by doin his time, erasing his criminal background,etc and that meant loose ends by sending his father to prison which by that time, he'll most likely die in. Lol. At the end of that two parter episode, he's left wondering how many days till his son will do the same to him.

Not sure if it was an oversight but you forgot to mention the kingpin is played by Vincent D'Onofrio's on the netflix series, he was the only actor not credited in the narration.
I dunno, when it comes to the rest of the MCU, I'd like the Big Show to play him and we know how devastating he is in the WWE

She was a straight up villain in the comics, not a reluctant one either, but a hardcore villain, albeit with her own reasons
She is a vampire in the comics
She worked for Madame Masque, only to get close enough to kill her ex husband (Kates father) for abandoning her and Kate
She worked with the Kingpin a bit, nothing was ever explicitly shown, but inferences were made
*shoulda used CGI to make him 8 feet tall and muscular*
Other than that wack body, the actor really nailed the character
Kingpin was 6'8 give or take, and 330 Ibs, he always looked fat but had a massive amount of muscle
Vincent was perfect for that role, read the comics

Richard was secretly both the Schemer, the Rose, and for a while Blood Rose during The Name of the Rose storyline (Blood Rose was a Punisher-like version of the Rose)
As both the Schemer and the Rose, Richard had sworn to destroy the Kingpin's criminal empire, and apparently Vanessa was enjoying her luxury lifestyle a bit too much to allow that to happen 🌹

No over-the-top costume or gimmicks; just a white business suit and a purple, leather S&M gimp mask was all he needed to pose as a fake crimelord.
