I successfully booted off a USB onto the Windows Install screen. Oddly, when I hit F12, its not under USB-HDD, but rather under "HardDrives". When I expand the menu option under HardDrives I have 3, under that Hard Drive Menu is USB-HDD0, I boot from that device, and it works fine.
+Poolarity I was told to boot from the USB I need to disable secure boot? How do I do this? I can't find the option? Also when I go to HardDrives my USB doesn't show up. Please help

+Spencer Abril What file system did you format on the USB drive. I used FAT32 and NTFS and it worked fine for me. exFAT did not work.
+Poolarity i notice that you have configured your sata port as native ide, that's the reason why shows so many ide channels on standar cmos features, Change it to ahci mode on integrated peripherals for better performance.

can you tell me wich rev. is this? and if the rev.6 have the unlock core feature? seems that the rev. 4.1 have the option to unlock cores, but the last rev.6 does not have, or i dont know, i was looking into the manual on gigabyte website

I can't enter BIOS even after pressing DEL/F2/F8/F12/END KEY only it shows 'Prepare to Enter' after that "_" this Symbol keeps blinking on the Left Top Side. And I can't enter Windows also. I did every possible trick but nothing works. I did the RAM Changed, Processor Changed, PSU Changed, CMOS Battery Changed and also Reset the CMOS But nothing works, the CURSOR Still Blinks. @@PoolarityChannel From the boot menu, can you pick your newly installed SSD (with Windows 10 OS cloned into it) and boot with Windows from there? I would imagine you'd need to access the BIOS Menu to permanently ensure that it boots from the SSD in the future rather than back to the 1TB Hard Drive

I respect your want to keep stability in your system. I guess another way to look at its overclocking popularity is the fact that people have found good stability even when pushed past stock, and as such someone running a stock system can feel even more comfort knowing that it's capable of much more stress. Great content will be watching more :D
I personally built many machines for people over the years using this board, or its previous iterations 76lm-s2h/68m etc, for earlier AMD chips. I've a few people who are still running these machines to this day. As such for a retro build I'm currently looking to pick one of these boards up on ebay :D

My sons computer says DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER. I went through your video and under CASE OPEN yours says yes and mine says no. Mine also doesn’t show me under HARD DISK BOOT CH1, CH2 and CH3 are not there. It only says BOOTABLE ADDIN CARDS option.
Also it says NONE under all the MASTER AND SLAVES.

Hey my computer won't detect my onboard graphics, and in the bio settings I can't see if it's on. In the igx config settings internal graphics mode is on UMA and everything else is in auto. But in my device manager it will only show my GTX card and not my integrated graphics. do you know why this is?

It simulates IDE mode for SATA HDD thats why it shows master and slaves. And memory isn't mislabeled. As CPU has 2 channel memory controller it just showing you put it in DIMM slot related to second controller.

Anyone know why my case fan speed is at 100% constantly (2250 rpm) sounds like a jet engine, but my cpu and gpu don't exceed 50 degrees Celsius at max load? smart fan is enabled but it is still 100% and I cant adjust it from the bios? also the case fan is connected to the MB 3 pin connector.
Because you have a 3-pin system fan and you need a 4-pin for fan control.

i have the same mobo, and 2x4 g.skill ripjaw rams @ 1866mhz , but with the oc mode the ram only reach 1600mhz if i put 1866mhz on the bios it says an error and restore it to 1600mhz, i only modify the multiplier but not the voltage, did i need to up the voltage to get the 1866mhz? im scarry to screw my rams, but i want the ram faster because it might help the fx6300 and make less bottleneck in games (i dint have oc on the cpu, but because i dont have a custom cooler, when ive got one i will oc too), any recomendations for reaching 1866mhz?
My front fan stopped working and I cant figure out why. I got a new fan but still doesn't work. The connections for the front fan and 2 top fans don't work either.

FX9590 requires 220w, the max this motherboard can handle is 125w, so you can't.
Oooohhh my gosh, I disabled my integrated graphics controller to try get my gpu to work. It didn’t and my screen was black, because of your video I was able to navigate through the bios, change and save it. Thanks

This motherboard doesn't support, nor have, a TPM socket for the module, or any BIOS settings relating to that. There also isn't anything is relation to Secure Boot. I believe it's Legacy BIOS only.

You have to go to IGX Configuration, then hit the Onboard VGA output Connect and whatever port you're gonna be using (prob hdmi) click D-Sub/HDMI

In case anyone else sees this, I dont think you can disable secure boot. Not that I've been able to see. I had the same issue and fir me it ended up being that by usb was plugged into a USB3 port. The issue was resolved when I plugged it into a USB2 port

No it can't. It only does vga & HDMI. As per the manual. Not sure if you can pull it off by placing a DVI to HDMI adapter. This way you're technically going HDMI & HDMI.

wow. how did you pause it at beginning? I can get to that screen but I cannot get into BIOS no matter what I do. f12, del, end f8 nothing works. I have gone on to try every key and nothing. I can get to this screen if I hit delete fast several times but then nothing. other times I can hit tab fast and it will pause it for a second or 2 but then gone. Thanks

Try, F12, F5, or F8, but Try F12 first. If you have one of those keyboards with double functions on the keys makes sure to press FN key with the "F12"

i have this motherboard and cannot get into the bios, when i hit f12 the only thing it lets me choose is the initial startup disk. i just got a ssd and am trying to boot from it but am having enormous difficulty. when i boot with ssd it tries to boot with pxe lan booting. i desperately need to get into my bios and cannot figure it out
Well you hit DEL key for bios..not f12 soo...also you can't boot from an empty new SSD..what is on it to boot? So it hits the SSD and since there is nothing on it, it goes to LAN boot. You have to boot from your windows cd or a special windows usb stick you've made.

Are you using a PS/2 keyboard to get into the BIOS? I can't access my BIOS with this motherboard because I don't have a PS/2 keyboard and I can't get into BIOS to enable USB legacy support :P

According to the Manual I have posted in the Description area, the DELETE key enters the BIOS. When you boot up, keep on tapping it at a high rate of speed like 8 times per second to make sure you catch it on Boot Up.

Were you able to disable the memory reserve for hardware? I got CPU-Z showing 16 GB of RAM DDR3 and windows detecting me only 12 GB with 8 GB usable.
The screen you had in the very beginning is like almost a flash for me. whenever I try to press delete it doesn't work. everything is plugged in right. how do I access bios?
The screen in the beginning is always a flash, before you boot, you have to keep tapping DEL until you get into the BIOS. If you are using another motherboard it may be F12, F2, F8, but nearly all the time its DEL

Are you using the same motherboard? Does your computer have a particular Keyboard Port it must use, such as a PS1 keyboard or the 2 USB inputs that are outside of the other groupings. I've seen that also. If you press Pause does it stop booting, if not its likely your Keyboard is not registering on Boot.

hey man i need ur help... when you install the processor on the motherboard did you have to update the bios to the latest version(because idk how to do that) in order for it to support the am3+ processor or its just plug and play and no bios update needed. P.S im asking because i noticed we have the same rev 6 board and same processor

Hi, How do you enable dual channel ? When i put 8Go of memory (kit of 2x4Go) the system only recognizes 4Go. I have tried every positions on the memory spot (1-2 / 4-3 / 1-3 /4-2) and no one works.. Any solution ? :/

depends what operating system you have win10 and i think win 8 dont have safe modes press start type msconfig and change it also remember to change it back when you get it sorted

Hey great video! I have a question. You were saying how the sata drive numbers on the motherboard don't match the CMOS labeling. I'm a first time pc builder so I don't know much. Does it mater which sata port I plug my ssd into and my CD drive into? Is there a recommended port to plug them into or will they all work the same way regardless of where I plug them in? Thanks!

my boot menu looks nothing like that. When I press delete it takes me to a menu that says q flash utility v2.24

Hi, I bought this board with the fx 6300 and the cpu fan idles between 2500 and 3000 rpm (yours is too at 7:15). Is that normal because its quite loud??
+M. Kassis Yes its very loud, I need to fork over some money to get a better Fan, but I will have to put up with the noise for now. The Stock Fan's are always pieces of junk that are just too loud, my FX8350 is worst, like a Wind Tunnel, I wish I was exaggerating.
@Julian Esteban you need a 4-pin fan for manual control. Otherwise it always just goes full blast.

Hi I my fx6300 overclocked to 4.3ghz and it runs perfectly stable. But when I do a cold reboot i get a boot failure due to overclocking message. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Whenever I boot I get the error {DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER} I assume this is a problem with the Hard drive. I have fiddled with the Hard drive, messing with its SATA cables on the mobo and Channels in the bios and I have had no luck. Anyone know how to fix this issue?
Maybe your Hard Drive itself is dead and its not the Cable? Are you able to test your Hard Drive in another system?
No I have figured out that the problem is my PC won't read the USB that I am trying to install windows 10 from. So atm I am reformatting it and seeing what works.

I figured out the problem a while ago, long and short of it is that the Mac I was downloading the windows OS from had its bootcamp thing corrupted. I borrowed someone else's windows PC downloaded the OS and booted it on my computer. Thanks for your help tho

+Ghost I some instances, when you put in another Video Card, the onboard is disabled. Did you check the BIOS to see if you can have one as primary and one as secondary for the Video. 3:15 see if the BIOS has changed since you put the video card in, if there are different options.
already did it, it was bios settings, thank you for responding either way, the resolution is a bit shitty on tv and quality even tho its 1920 and 1080p, i guess tv is just too big (47inch)
