I guess you know it by now Leif. You're a star on the Midi Guitar World constellation. Thanks you for all your contributions. I wish the brands would take you as an advisor.
How very kind of you to say. Thank you so much. 🙏🙏🙏 I do harbour a secret wish to establish a working relationship with a couple of brands/developers where I feel there might be something to gain for the whole MIDI Guitar playing community, but I am completely useless at reaching out. 😀 Hopefully I can improve on that and change things around a little. 👍
You are not alone! And to a certain degree I was ”part of JO” since I have done these videos to showcase the progress and process to some extent. The problem is when some people assume I have some more official role and start demanding answers I can’t give or even try holding me responsible for particular company policy decisions. I have found this to be increasingly problematic.
@@lofileif In my own little niche I painted myself into that corner so your pain is felt on the downsides. It's not made easier having a very Google friendly name either :D. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.
@ThomasBrunkard i’ve always thought ”sharing is caring” and that adhering to that as a principle surely would pay off in the end, but this is UA-cam and real world rules doesn’t seem to apply 😂 So, I’ll recalibrate and try elsewhere. What was your corner, if I may ask?
The Guitar Wing is interesting in that while it looks like a toy (perhaps) it just works, and keeps on working. And I use it with my CME Widi UHost without issues, even though I have had much newer stuff fail, so yeah, I am pretty happy with it too. The Acpad I never got around to. 😀👍
@@lofileif lol. got the guitar wing... is there a easy way to make midi presets for it? The guy who made acpad is actually a buddy of mine. got a demo from him back then. thinking about a sexier way to add midi controller to a guitar....cheers!
I think I have the Guitar Wing tucked somewhere in a closet. I don't think I have the USB midi antenna it came with. Can the CME Widi work for it, then?
And then the midi viewers will start to complain. I have been following this guy for some time. He is not obligated to answer and help you, but he has done it. If you want to support him, good, if not, please do a favor and do your own channel for free.
I think the ultimate midi guitar is the linnstrument because the note layout makes it trivial for a guitarist to pick up, but its sensors are better than what we get with trying to use a traditional guitar as a controller.
Interesting idea. I'd love to try a Linnstrument sometime, but have you tried a guitar with Hex pickups through the MIDI Guitar 3 Hex Tracker? That tracking is pretty darn good.
@@lofileif Does it eliminate the octave inconsistent triggering? I've tried midi guitar3 without hex and from what I see it constantly puts some octaves wrong.
@ The Hex tracker improve considerably on the tracking from MG3, and I recommend you try to bortow a 13 pin guitar to try it out. I can’t promise anyone anything.👍

I must admit, I thought you were part of Jam Origin, the main part actually. I haven’t seen anyone else doing what you’re doing, including Jam Origin

Imagine doing such a good job that you get confused with the developer!
Now, when you put it like that it that, it almost sounds like a good thing 😀 Thanks 🙏

I bought livid guitar wing 10 years ago and still use it and love! I own acpad as well and hate it

I am using the original software. I found it online (again) a couple of yeats ago.
I dont use the USB dongle either. Since this is a Bluetooth device it connects via the Uhost I have connected to my computer.
Does your livid still work
Of course!

However from my experience I think the jamstik is the best guitar as midi controller I've used.

Yeah, that seems to be a popular controller!
