    Enid @ NSE Tropicals is the OG of quiet luxury plants. Her stock plants are some seriously pedigreed business. She has a very loyal clientele for a reason.

    The burle marx flame was found only in the private collection of burle marx (and that's why it got his name) it has never been found in the wild and every single plant is a clone propagated from his plant, pretty interesting

      We’ll now they are tissue culturing it , which really suck.

      @@brooklin_bernekwhy does that suck

      @@bermandustin because from all that I hear , once they start tissue culturing a rare , in this case with a BMF very rare plant they take the value away , and it starts to grow different. Some will say they grow the same - but for me - I have a “old school “ propagated Thai from a mother plant before they began tissue culturing it / and I recently got a established but from tissue culture and boy do they grow way different IN MY EXPERIENCE. ones roots are so frail , the speed in growth is different , one can take neglect much more , one is more sensitive to light , one will drop leaves if it isn’t watered exactly when it’s dry, one will rot over every little thing. Like I said this is my experience, I like TC but I don’t think they should just throw every single rare plant they can into it….. it’s changed how Thais are sold and grown now and I feel like that stinks

      @@bermandustin soon I’m feeling like our “collections” won’t be collections because everything is mass produced and in grocery stores and takes all the value away :( makes it not fun and exciting

      @@brooklin_bernek i understand what you’re saying; but it sounds like the difference between buying a plant cause you like it vs buying a plant cause its expensive or exclusive.

    I feel like the poor man’s whipple way is snowdrift. It’s a nice plant but cheaper. That being said I still want a Whipple Way. 🤣

      @carmielmarcelline  8 місяців тому +1

      LOL the snowdrift is totally a dupe for the whipple way 😂😂😂 - I want one too but the aesthetic of my bank account does not match the aesthetic of a whipple way 🥴

    I in general don't go for the expensive plants - but I want a Monstera Burle Marx Flame. It would be stupid to spend that much, but maybe they'll come down.

    • @carmielmarcelline
      @carmielmarcelline  8 місяців тому

      100% the price will come down! If you want something on the more affordable end, starters are usually cheaper than mature ones! But you just have to wait for it to look nice and luscious 🤭
