    Hi
I'm wondering why most dismantling are done using jacks.
I'm contemplating dismantling a 6 ring 14 footer from the top down. Is there a problem doing it that way ?

If you are dismantling it to reuse it it nice to leave the roof intact. Pretty hard to do the upper rings when your ladders are always in the way. The sheets as they come off are like knives falling down. Once you dismantle the roof, your ladder(s) is going to want to cave in the top rings. Just a few reasons. If you use enough jacks & do it on a calm day, this is the safest method.

Yikes that could been an even bigger disaster. I'll look for Part 3 to see what happened next.

Yeah...no kidding. It was scary to think what might have happened.
