At the end of the credits Asha's grandfather creates a little tune that would go on to inspire generations, thus fulfilling his wish. We would come to know the tune as "When You Wish Upon A Star".
We have been going to WDW from the UK for over 20 years now and about 10 years ago we did the breakfast buffet character meeting at 1900 Park Fare and it was the best character interaction we have ever had with The Mad Hatter. He was hilarious and spent ages talking to us & teasing my 2 boys with good light hearted banter. We still talk about it. Great memories. Xx
Hot Lips Houlihan was the nickname of the character Margaret Houlihan in the show and movie Mash. The organ was probably named after her. And the first party balloons were manufactured in 1907. The style of clothing they were wearing in the paintings could have been around that time.
I heard she was originally was supposed to be there but since Wish didn't do well in the theater they decided not to include her at least that's what I read on the Dis Boards
They will add her later I'm sure. They want to get everyone in for the grand opening and then get everyone to come back when Asha gets added to the lineup
Ah yes, we had a photo with Tigger at that old background with the Cinderella castle in back in Aug 2019. It was a little photo op after the meal at 1900 Park Fare when we had our breakfast there with the old characters
Very Cool ! Big Bertha actually came from East Grand Rapids’ Ramona Park . Wooden Coasters, boat liveries on East Lake and quite possibly a young local resident named Gerald R. Ford sitting on the many benches listening to Bertha Belt out a popular tune of the day .
Helium balloons came about in the 1920’s however rubber balloons were around in the 1800’s. Inflated with air they would be on sticks instead of string. Large balloon were filled with hydrogen but could explode.
I enjoyed my 59th and 60th birthday brunches here. Much fun- the strawberry soap is unique and good. Happy it has finally reopened. I kind of liked that some of the restaurants took their time to reopen - a time to reflect.
30:14, At first glance, I was wondering why the kite had the symbol of Hey (half, on a dreidel) on it. I then realized that it was a repair job. Silly me!
1900 park fare was a favorite pre panini they had some of the best characters. Glad to see it’s back and it makes sense that they changed the character lineup.
You made a comment in your video questioning why it was called 1900 park fare. The Victorian era did indeed end in 1901, January 22, to be exact. So calling the restaurant "1900" Park Fare makes sense to me because 1900 would be the last full year of the Victorian era.
We didn’t know Big Bertha’s backstory, thank you for sharing. “A dispenser of gummy bears as you would want” 😂 I 100% agree if the strawberry soup wasn’t in a bowl nobody would think twice about it. Why is the wish mural hidden lol I hope they bring the tea time back, I’ve always wanted to try it. We did dinner last night & enjoyed it.
A Stylish Setting Artistic touches abound. 1900 Park Fare is delightfully designed to take you back in time to the early 20th century-with carousel theming, whimsical décor and impressionist-style Disney artwork. Be sure to look for Big Bertha, a turn-of-the-century organ from France that has been at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa since 1988!
Thanks for showing us the "new" experience! My family dined there just before covid and the entrance was changed to the entrance that you used, so this is not new. We exited by the mural and there was a family photo opportunity in front of the mural, so makes sense that it will eventually be that again.
Tim and Jenn asking so many questions I’ve never thought about. According to my googling , the first rubber balloon was developed for laboratory use by Michael Faraday. Before electricity, fountains worked by gravity, having water in a cistern at a higher elevation than the fountain..
We went in May 2019 and we used the “new” entrance then. The Cinderella Castle mural at the back was a photo op with Tigger at the end of breakfast. We have great memories from our trip there.
My family went to Disney in 2005 to celebrate my brother graduating high school. However, when we went, it was also around the time of my birthday, and my mom surprised me with reservations to 1900 park faire. I still have the birthday crown from there. Lot has changed in almost 20 years.
The other wishmaker to go along with Mirabel in the other spot...should be...stay with me...Wall-E! He wish to be able to hold hands and dance and he got to do that!!
My family had a photo taken in front of that mural before our meal in 2012. Food back then was good, lots of choice, but the characters made the experience memorable!
As always, thanks for sharing your experience. My family went to 1900 park fair in 2003!!!! My sons were so young. My youngest just turned 24, so I guess he was about three years old. He remembers the mad hatter coming over and drawing a picture on his banana. He still talks about it and says that guy was scary. Lol can’t wait to get back and see all the changes.😎👍🏻✨💫
Over the course of 30+ years of Disney visits we've entered 1900 from both sides. I wouldn't doubt that they maintained the painting at the "old" entrance because they will still use that entrance on occasion. The downside of that entrance is that the hallway can get congested and stuffy when there's a crowd.
For us, character meal food is always just "ok". Guests are paying for the character interaction, not the food. We choose not to dine at character meals.
We were there in 2000 when it was Mary Poppins - it was really lovely. I think it's an interesting assortment of characters. It sounds really loud, but it looks like fun.
Oh, the green kite Easter egg in that one painting! That made my heart happy. Spoiler alert maybe? It’s from Mary Poppins - the kite the Father fixes at the end. It’s a precious Easter egg.
I don’t know if this is just me! But I felt like the paintings from the park gave me Mary Poppins vibes!! And their kite from the movie was in the wagon with the others!!
At the end of the credits Asha's grandfather creates a little tune that would go on to inspire generations, thus fulfilling his wish. We would come to know the tune as "When You Wish Upon A Star".

What a shame it's no longer Alice and Mary Poppins etc fits in much better with the Grand Floridian
The whole wishmaker thing is a lazy way to cover them wanting to put more “popular” characters
Fr, not to say I don’t like these characters, but the Grand Floridian is Victorian themed, not Latin American themed.
i hope tim knows all of his meme references never go unnoticed hahaha
They should have a Jimminy Cricket portrait since he's the one who originally sang When You Wish Upon a Star.
a statue of him should be at the door 😊
Totally agree. He isn't "royal" enough, I guess.
Hot Lips Houlihan was the nickname of the character Margaret Houlihan in the show and movie Mash. The organ was probably named after her. And the first party balloons were manufactured in 1907. The style of clothing they were wearing in the paintings could have been around that time.
Hot Lips Houlihan was a characters nickname on the old tv show MASH 😀
Came to say this too
Which came from the movie.
Ouh nice some one who knows 😉
@bababooey9424 Stern fan?
Came to add this.
Geppetto had his wish granted
I just love the Disney company. The happiest place on earth. 😊
The green kite with the tape on it in the painting is the one the Banks family fixed up at the end of Mary Poppins!
I’m glad someone saw it
I'm very surprised Asha from Wish is not a character there. She literally made a wish and fits the whole theme!
I heard she was originally was supposed to be there but since Wish didn't do well in the theater they decided not to include her at least that's what I read on the Dis Boards
There was a painting of her up on the wall.
@@animeunicorn4231 I did see that! But I'm very surprised she's not meeting especially since there was a meet in greet with her in Epcot!
They will add her later I'm sure. They want to get everyone in for the grand opening and then get everyone to come back when Asha gets added to the lineup
@@caro8414 that's smart of Disney
I absolutely LOVE the mural description toward the end of the video. Magical!!
Eclectic mix of characters. Cinderella was great. Hope they eventually bring in Asha if the theme is really Wishes!
i love how tim slipped into the "its me boy im your ps5" voice when he was talking about the kites 😂
😂
They’re kinda’ killing me not knowing about the Edwardian era 😂
I don't think most people would be as excited, just because Victorian is more well-known and flows better
Ah yes, we had a photo with Tigger at that old background with the Cinderella castle in back in Aug 2019. It was a little photo op after the meal at 1900 Park Fare when we had our breakfast there with the old characters
Tobin Farley was a ceramics artist who also did wooden sculptures. Looks like she hay have made carousel horse over they sign in the lobby. 🤩
Jen: “I wish we could come to Disney even more!”
Tim: “We already come a lot” 😂😂👏🏻
I thought this was so cute!
The other wishmaker should be Geppetto he got his wish for his real boy ❤
Awww I love Tiana’s new outfit 😍 this is so cute
Well now I'm always going to think of the fairy godmother as a force ghost. 🤣

5:35 1the 9th century was from 1801-1901 just like when the year 2000 happened we enter the 21st century.
Since our first time going to 1900 park fare in 2017 that has been the entrance when we have come every visit til Covid!
Thanks for the video. I will be adding this one to our list for next year 😊
30:14, At first glance, I was wondering why the kite had the symbol of Hey (half, on a dreidel) on it. I then realized that it was a repair job. Silly me!
21:00 looks like Mila Kunis.
I saw it too! I thought it was because I had just finished studying Talmud with my Chevruta. 😂😂😂. Glad I’m not the only one.
Geppetto made a wish and got it granted.

I love a “Tim Tracker???” moment. 😂 I also love when the two of you dissolve into hilarity. 💚

I LOVE Cinderella. Thank You for all the information.

Tim and Jen always make me smile!😊
I have never ever wanted to have a breakfast more than this! Fingers crossed I can get a reservation for our stay next year!
Cinderella suddenly sounds Scottish lol
Servers and Staff!!! Tim, you know better than that. LOL
Tobin Farley is correct for that signature!
What a lovely outing. Thank you.
Do you think you’d go to the this restaurant again? Was it worth it to you food wise and character meet and greet wise?
We definitely would, we're going back for dinner in the coming weeks! :-)
@@TheTimTrackerooh just in time so I can see the buffet before I go for my dinner reservation 🎉🎉
@TheTimTracker I can't wait to see Kids reaction ❤

Loved the interaction with Aladdin! 😍 all those painting look gorgeous!
Balloons - The rubber balloon was invented by Michael Faraday in 1824, during experiments with various gases. He invented them for use in the lab.
A WISH restaurant, Asha should be there. Just saw the movie “Wish” and can’t wait to rewatch!❤
Awesome, the characters were all awesome and all the paintings are so beautiful ❤
IT'S ME BOY, I'M YOUR PS5!
Wendy from Peter Pan should be a Wishmaker and Peter Pan and Tinker Belle in the sky above her and John and Michael with her.
Think you guys need to take a trip back to Chef Mickeys for a buffet comparison.
The other wishmaker to go along with Mirabel in the other spot...should be...stay with me...Wall-E! He wish to be able to hold hands and dance and he got to do that!!
That balloon didn’t look like a ‘hidden mickey’ balloon, it looked like a ‘Mickey Balloon’ 😳🎈
Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live Glow Party is coming to Kissimmee May 4-5. I thought of you and Jackson when I saw the commercial on tv.
Great video! Hope to make it by there very soon. Jen, your headband is the cutest! Looks good on you.

Aladdin was great! Had his energy and cockiness perfectly. Excellent eyebrow work too.

Pinocchio’s wish to be a real boy was granted
Fun fact, 1824 balloons were invented! 👍 great video!
Also spotted the same kite they make in Mary Poppins in that painting. The green one in front of
Why did Jiminy Cricket sometimes sound like Yoda?! Just me? 😂
Very fun vlog today. Really enjoyed your review.
The organ named Sadie Mae was used to create the music for the bicentennial, where he established a relationship with Walt Disney
Thank you for sharing this. I personally like Cinderella and Step Mom and sisters
They were great. But the wish thing is adorable
... 9:00
Wow, that Prince Ali should also play Cassian Andor in the Star Wars area. I bet he does! lol
So great to see A Couple of Park Hoppers in your video! Love Bill & Danie! ❤ Thanks for sharing your breakfast with us!
the carousel's on the wall are from mary poppins when they jump in the chalk art and ride the carousel ponies in the park
Thanks for the thorough review. I would only go to Park Fare to tour the charming decor as buffets aren’t my jam!
For us, character meal food is always just "ok". Guests are paying for the character interaction, not the food. We choose not to dine at character meals.
Awww. We took our daughter (then 5) to the Mary Poppins Tea character meal at 1900 Park Fare. Perhaps the carousel wallpaper gives a mood to the past.
We were there in 2000 when it was Mary Poppins - it was really lovely. I think it's an interesting assortment of characters. It sounds really loud, but it looks like fun.
Great video. I think Pinocchio would be good for the paintings. He got his wish
A Carousel is a ride at a theme park, a Merry-Go-Round is on a playground or park. 😎
I will be eating there soon for the first time excited to meet the characters
I remember back when 1900 was Mickey & Minnie,Goofy & rest of the gang.
I think your chocolate muffin has either tapioca flour or mochi sweet rice in it. It makes a pleasantly chewy bite!
Mary Poppins kite! So cool
Strawberry soup on top of pancakes or waffles 😍
I’m from Grand Rapids, MI, so that’s so cool to learn about Big Bertha!
Thanks for this, definitely one to check out on a future trip ♥️ xx
I loved that buffet!
hot lips holahand is from mash a tv from the 80's the blond lady char that was in that show that was her nick name
Oh, the green kite Easter egg in that one painting! That made my heart happy.
Spoiler alert maybe?
It’s from Mary Poppins - the kite the Father fixes at the end. It’s a precious Easter egg.
For the additional "wishing" painting - does Asha have a painting? Is that too obvious of a wisher?
Thank you for the video. I think 1900 Park Fare was the address in the Mary Poppins movie. So that explains the vibe of the decor and paintings.
Mary Poppins used to be one of the main characters you saw there at breakfast. The address in the movie was 17 Cherry Tree Lane.
Our first visit back in 2012 at 1900 parkfare we had our photo taken at the painting an it was the castle x
Force ghost fairy godmother. I think we found my halloween costume! 😂
They had fountains back then, in fact, the oldest is Mesopotamian 😊
Hi Tim and Jen, just wondering, which characters do you wish you could dine with, that you haven't yet? BTW, Jenn looks so cute. 😊
The food looks delicious! I love breakfast pizza! I make it at home a lot. 😋
They SHOULD sell kites from a wagon!! 😂
Love this video❤😊
It was like that in August 2019. We came in that way by the GF cafe and exited but the mural
Pinocchio should have a picture!
I don’t know if this is just me! But I felt like the paintings from the park gave me Mary Poppins vibes!! And their kite from the movie was in the wagon with the others!!
Hey! That’s my favorite meal of the day, I love a good Breakfast! ❤
